Thread: EGO insane? o_O

I cant remember where, but its noted in the game that the ego's personality is based upon the person who's genetic material was used to create it.

I'm actually a bit disappointed that they explained it. It would've made a cool future story arc if it turned out the EGO implants had no AI personalities, and the one you have is actually a Gulanee hiding away in your head, impersonating an AI interface. Oh well.

Ever notice that the voices in your head tell you it's OK to play the game, yet rarely mention that it's time to vacuum behind the sofa?

I always suspected from the beginning that they made add some backstory around the EGO as they mentioned that the personality is derived from the DNA they used to create it. Maybe we will get some flashbacks for her

I can make an educated guess as to why she got rid of it :-)

I hate EGO. She's always telling me to get back on my vehicle when I clearly don't feel like driving. I notice she takes credit for a lot of things she contributed zero effort to. Like, when I go on a killing spree she remarks how awesome we are. We? I didn't see her out there shooting stuff. And she never warns me about the Dark Matter sniper taking aim at my head. Since that's where she resides, you'd think she'd be more protective.

She's nanotech. She's everywhere in you ...everywhere. If that Dark Matter sniper takes the top of your head off, it just means that you'll stop interrupting her to ask her how close you are to leveling and what hat goes with that outfit and if you can see the map one more time, and she'll finally get some reading done.

I know it's probably not cannon, but I wonder if the EGO's of different operatives can talk to each other. Like if you were at the Crater and hitting on another arkhunter, your EGO would be chatting up their EGO. It would suck your EGO cockblocked you by telling the other EGO how you never pick up all the loot and always need to be revived at arkfalls.
