Skype, Anyone?

I prefer mumble. I don't really use it or any chat software too much, but if I had to use one it would be mumble.

I just haven't really tried other chat software, and I'm fine with what mumble has to offer so I don't see any reason to use anything else. But like I said I don't really use that stuff too much. I just talk to my friends through Xbox live party chat mainly.

I prefer using Skype myself but hardly ever do since most of the time people seem to be bothered by having to boot up their computers.

Me and a few pals have been using Skype for a few years now, because it's so accessible and simple. I have at least two friends who use it on their smartphones, and it still comes in pretty clearly!

Same here; for random pick-up groups it'd not be particularly useful, but for a close handful of friends I game with, we use it all the time gaming. It's dirt simple, reliable and clear.

But... I gave you a nickname..... I'm sorry. I actually cheer in joy and throw pies at my families faces while I'm signing in. Which reminds me, I need to get on Defiance more so we can play together.

I have been known to once or twice invite people into a group and plug my mic in just long enough for me to say "I'm on Skype, join up or talk to yourself". That was back when the chat system was really screwed up though and someone had to restart their system every 10 minutes. I just couldn't keep doing that haha.

Hahaha, that's funny. I still hate using the in-game chat. Skype is just so much more clear and isn't limited by certain actions. I'm interested in some of these things you guys are mentioning though.
