Server maintaince again???!?!

I know we have the technology to never or rarely boot players. I have played several MMOs that can patch server side without kicking gamers out. I also know some MMOs have test servers... before they dump the new patch on an unsuspecting customers. Defiance resets at least 2 times per day (annoying)..at the 4am CT restart its like last call at a bar... time for bed. It reminds me of an old DOS computer every time there is a problem restart the computer.

Actually did the same thing and automatically assumed our patch was tonight. Laughed at myself because this isn't the first time misinterpreting that sanskrit... also made the same mistake of making a post about it. Good times.

If it wasn't for that and the non-existent system messages to let us know about the server being taken down, I probably wouldn't care. But instead we got a backwards thinking in what order the posts go in and the in game system messages care more about telling us to go pvp, 5 minutes before they shut the server down.

It would be nice if the HUGE [System] Messages would tell us this stuff instead of telling us to go play more competitive matches.

You are using your system messaging for the wrong reason, and with all of those words it takes up almost the whole screen. Very annoying.

But thank you for fixing stuff.

I've been playing since 10 am EST and the server messaged popped up for me stating servers would go down at 8am PST.........
