this just shows youve never tested before and are probably a one mmo or new mmo player.

Data scales...seriously ....get a grip. You have no idea how these farms and systems work do you?

I have the standard xbox game pre ordered. I was on the fence and was going to maybe pre order the ce or ue of the game but the beta has made me doubt if I should upgrade my pre order.

I know it's a beta and not demo but seeing these kinds of issues in the beta throws up red flags for me because when it comes down to it there's only 10 days (11 if you count release day) to fix any issues that are found in this beta. It seems odd that they waited so long to test things with the xbox on a mass scale. I could be wrong and maybe most things seen in the all the pc betas can be applied to the xbox version. IDK.

I'm no expert and it might be fixed in time but I've also seen quite a few MMOs with terrible launches. I've seen a few MMOs do quite well after a terrible launch and some that just seemed to never rebound. Right now I'm looking at the cost of the ce and ue of the game and wondering do I want to take a chance that the game will be fine at launch or have a 100 or 150 dollar box and game sitting on my desk while I wait for the game to get it's kinks worked out(if ever because lets face it I've seen MMOs just die and never get to a fun stage in it's life cycle)

Those are my thoughts about the game right now. I'm apprehensive about MMOs now because I like them but I've also wasted a lot of money on MMOs that just didn't pan out.

Here is a list of games I've bought thinking they'd be good and then have them die.

    Tabula Rasa
    The Matrix Online
Vanguard (free to play now but really has no potential left. I think SOE and the Devs are hoping to get some return on the cash shop to help the money spent on publishing and developing it)
Hellgate London ( wasn't I complete style MMO was it had a sub and shut down for years now it's a free to play)
    AUTO ASSAULT

There are others that are free to play and can be argued for but, for a lot of MMOs that go free to play it seems like development on them stops and the quality of the community goes downhill.

Uhhh, so you expect them to complete it weeks in advance, and the dev team does what afterwards? As much as I'm sure people like being paid to sit around, most companies don't like handing out money while employees just wait.

You're also making the assumption it's not ready, or that this wasn't planned and everything is going, for the most part, as it should. Are you part of the dev team? You don't know what's going on. Until a few days ago the plan was to have everything ready on Monday, which may mean getting more racks prepped. They may not have been able to prepare in time to meet the demand of having something ready DAYS IN ADVANCE instead of when it was planned.

Nobody has said wait until the last minute, perhaps today was their own internal scheduled load testing day leaving the weekend to fix unforeseen issues.

That is understandable, but wouldn't you rather they focus on fixing the issue, instead of taking time to post "we're working on it, it'll be ready soon"

Computers are based off scientific and mathematical principles. Each of those call be scaled and data can be inferred.

Right now the big issue on 360 is the lag and yes i do believe they can fix it in 10 days.

i have pre - ordered an cannot wait till i finally get my copy as for the issues at the moment its a beta / stress test there are going to be problems if you can't deal with it then you should'nt be apart of it. we are here to find any and all problems and REPORT THEM, so they can fix any bug's or issues with server stability or tearing ect ect that is what beta's primary goal is so stop *****in and let them know so at launch we have a great time . and as for people canceling pre-orders how can you rate a game where you have only seen a very small part of it . from what i've seen its got me all exited for launch.

Why would they be sitting around? Once they got the beta prepped and ready they could then resume looking for and correcting any bugs for that first day patch. And when the data from the beta starts pouring in they are ready for it. Now its "We have tons of people working on it" and now that is tons of people not performing other functions that would be vital to a first day smooth launch and the successful completion of the betas goals.

If you aren't sure, then don't, it doesn't make you a bad person or anything lol. I would just be patient, there's still over a week till you can't upgrade, and we're only what, 8 hours into the beta, that was pushed out 3 days earlier than it was scheduled? Give it a day or two at least before making a decision.

Shame about Hellgate, last i heard it was completely gone. I'd like them to release the server software for things like that on the condition the new host can't profit from it.

That wont help you test server stability one bit, you insurance company experience =\= game development.

You're just mad that you cant play a hitch free demo version of the game.... its a beta, inform them of problems and play some more, dont come onto the forums saying how you heroicly deleted your pre-order to fight the terrible injustice this company has dealt you...
