not being a fan boy at all just wondering how the xbox beta is going but seems like this is why Microsoft don't do mmos..I have been playing for 4 days on ps3 and Haven't experience bad lag but i will say theres also more of a online community on the 360 then ps3 so you guys are really showing trion lol
the servers r running perfect no lagging way to go trion
I just started a character on the PC version, and WOW! major difference. Silky smooth, bad guys die when you shoot them, things actually activate. Man...this is how the 360 servers need to be before the end. And I can use my controller.
honestly, main reason to get the 360 version, other than playing on a big screen..is for achievements. but having 126k and change In achievements makes me realize I really don't need more
Since the servers have come back online I have seen almost no lag and I just did an arkfall event with all kinds of **** going. The beta is making me want to buy the game more now that I've played it. Still some issues but are pretty minor and will most likely be fixed before the beta is over.
Several UI issues, audio issues and AI issues. Also having a hard time with the respawn rates, with enemies appearing instantly right in front of you just after clearing the place. Had an arkfall event overlap with some mutant and hellbug instances and the whole thing got a bit nutty.
Still a day one purchase for me, liking what they're doing here. Had some complaints about the voice work going in, but soon realized they were temporary fill ins, as later on the same character had a different actor/actress that actually knew how to speak in human.
Loving the game, though I would like to see LMG/HMG, SMG and AR's use their own ammo types. Since the ammo is shared between the three types of weapons, you're suddenly having to look at damage per shot and longevity for missions, usually putting the LMG (non burst) as the best weapon to use as the damage is 450 over a rifles 300-350, and an SMG's puny 50-150. If you've only got 500 rounds between them there's little point in carrying the other two weapons in your inventory until this is changes.
Consider the LMG/HMG's as using 7.62 type rounds, AR's using 5.56 and SMGs using .45 or .09, but like... Defiance future world equivalents.
Didn't even notice this until I started switching between loadouts and noticed my ammo was dry in guns I hadn't used yet. Made me frowny face. D:
I would agree with the respawn of enemies being a problem. Happened a few time where I cleared the mission area completed the mission then bam! The enemies instantly respawn we right on top of me.
After fighting to get in I was a little pushed back. But at the same time this is my second beta. After finally getting in I haven't experienced any lag yet, a few small spots would a few glitch issues but I'm sure that'll be worked out. I do have to agree that the spawn rate on the enemies seems higher then they should be, but if this is going to be an MMO like WoW where everyone can kill something and be part of a quest even without being in party a faster spawn would be nice near launch so that quests aren't being slowed and ruined by everyone trying to do them. But for day one of the beta I'm excited. Really glad I've got the game preorder.
