Why is every time i talked about it, since the Alpha tests, no one ever gave me a simple answer.
It's easy, yes or no, will we be able to get the weather system we all saw in the video: Transmedia revolution, and all the crazy rides like in the show, and transport vehicles etc etc... OR...

Free2Play models don't charge you for story content... they make money with a cash store. The problem with Defiance's cash store is #1, everything is overpriced and #2, there aren't enough things available.

no, people are misinterpreting what Trion said. Saying that they do not want to segregate their customers through the DLC is not the same as saying "storyline content would be free", and in fact they are not segregating their customers through DLC at all, because everyone has access to the areas the missions will take place, meaning that friends with no DLC can help friends who have the DLC, they just wont have the missions and obviously the rewards for completing the missions.

Also Lord of the Rings charges for the content with in each zone, you can go into any zone you want to grind on mobs, but if you want anything more then just grinding on mobs you have to buy the zones content.

Nope, you can go to any of the areas related to the storyline content, you may not do the missions associated with those areas, but you sure can go and help your friends do them. No isolation at all.

In a magical realm where Trion releases a patch without issues on the first day, a new instance appears as DLC.

-Everyone can go in and shoot the bad guys.

-People that purchase the DLC get a repeatable quest that takes them into that instance that rewards them with a neat doodad.

The above is an example of everyone getting access, but only the purchasers getting the unique stuff. It is within the boundaries set by the producer.

It is to be expected. If you don't buy the DLC, you get the "free trial."

Noone is being CHEAP we paid the price for a full A list game and got 1/4 of a b list game. wanting free content is not being cheap or greedy it is simply trying to reconcile the initial cost of a game that is not worth the price tag and not as advertised and force trion to give us what we paid for. i mean is the collectors edition of the game worth 100 ****ing dollars. is the base game even worth more than 35 yet how much was it again ?? well all you supporters of corporate greed

the developers are being paid decent wages but most of the profits from this doesent go back into the game it goes straight into investor pockets

Really? You paid $60 for a video game. End of story. You don't pay a subscription fee nor required to make any commitment. Nothing was false advertised. You just have the inability to do research on a product before buying. I purchased Bioshock Infinite for $60. I beat the game once, took me 10 hours. Great game. I also paid $60 for Defiance, and invested over 100 hours so far. Even if you somehow managed to complete Defiance's Main Story in 10 hours, you still have side missions, PvP, co-op maps, Arkfalls, Pursuits, Challenges, mini-games etc. There's plenty of content to justify the price, you just want something for nothing.

FYI, I don't have an "infinite amount of income". In fact, I make less than $30,000 a year and live in NYC. Manhattan to be exact. Anyone who lives here or has even visited here, knows how expensive it is. I was able to afford to purchase the game twice. Once for PC, then again for 360, plus the Season Pass. Unless you're living with mommy, $60 isn't a lot of money unless you want to buy 5 or 6 games a month. Which is doubtful.

Also, are you really complaining about a $100 Collectors Edition? It's called a Collectors Edition for a reason. It's for collectors. No one is forcing you to pay $100, or even $60. You choose to do so. And if you were that worried about it, you could have easily rented the game for $5. Instead, you apparently spent your life savings of $60, and aren't happy, and now feel entitled to everything. Sorry bud, welcome to the real world. You're entitled to nothing.

There are features and content in the free portion. But Content does not equal to include story line missions. You are making assumptions on what he said, he never said Content would include Story line missions. His statement was very broad and generalized, your fault for making assumptions.

I have actually been outspoken about a lot of the flaws in ths game,so much so,i was just banned for a day from the forums.Yes I did pre order the season pass,and now that I see I get a bunch of new content,i am pleased with my purchase. I'm sorry you feel your entitled to everything ,but you are not.
