Who's actually considering to restart as a new race?

Unless they make the races have unique powers/items/skills etc I won't. If it is just for an outfit I see no point in starting over.

But then it would be more than an aesthetic change, which is probably the reason most people won't re-roll since that's all every other race is.

If it was more than just how you look then I would re-roll other races as well.

I only play as human characters, because I am a boring person. They could release elves with jetpacks and I wouldn't care.
