What the heck is a Raider Hulker?

It have been bothering me for quite a while.
What the hell are those? At first I thought they could be a mutated Bioman, but then I realized they are RAIDERS, not MUTANTS, and they don't have a serial number, completely ruling out a Bioman origin.

Syfy/Trion gave any clue on the origin of such weird creatures?

I believe that the ultimate answer to anything you may see in game was handed down in this week's Badlands stream. Apparently, when asked about half-breeds the answer was, "we know it's not really possible, but it's more interesting, so we're letting them exist." (I paraphrased a little.)

So, the answer to "how to Raiders turn into giant hulking, bomb throwing monsters with no skull" is "because it's interesting."

Not entirely impossible, as some votans might have a probable common ancestor, as I think Indogene and Castithans, or Liberata and Sensoth (and even Irathients) can fit.

But I really would like to not see some bizarre mix as Irathient and Humans, or Casthitans and Sensoth. UNLESS they are lab experiment.

I believe a Raider Hulker is a raider on adrino or whatever it is and they took to much developing the massive body and the roid rage during the fight and enough adrino pumping in his heart blows when you kill him thats what I think.

It's when an ogre impregnates a double-decker bus.

Realistically a Hulker wouldn't be able to exist unless it was it's own race. If it's just a mutant human, it would be near impossible to get them to that size.
Bio-men don't even make much sense.

And even if they did make them, the amount of food they would have to eat to support themselves would be insane.

In the end, it's more a creative decision then logical one. Which I'm fine with.

Burros are the offspring of donkeys and horses. However, because they can't produce children of their own they're technically not their own species. Just a mutation.

I hate running into those Hulkers. It's like running into a pissed off King Kong while you are driving around. Bad news! Personally, I think they are clearly some kind of mutation. Maybe some kinda bioengineering gone wrong, but how would the Raiders tame them?

Hulkers, that's one thing.. but have you seen the boss at the end of Motherlode? I'm guessing it... used to be.. a hulker, which the 99ers modified and souped up bigtime.
    Platform: PC
    Character: Blackwolfe (EU)

    Rolling with the Red Thugs!

Nah, that one is easy and clarified a long time ago. It's just a gigantic Android. Probably it's the 1% of biomass and 99% of machine the game said the 99ers could reach.

    Cool answer. Laughed hard.

But why put those in a loosely organized faction of junkies as the raiders? They can't have gone through all the process blindly. There must have some explanation.
