Can I reach 5000 without pursuits?

I'm just wondering if I will be able to max my level without doing all the pursuits. I hate races. I'm not a racing game fan and I have no interest in "getting a silver medal" on a race. I'll enjoy all the combat related pursuits, but I don't want to spoil my game wasting time doing something that I don't like.

If you gain ego rating from pursuits, then no... you cannot.

well you can i suppose, but its gonna take you a loooooooong time lol, im at i think 1220 or lil higher, and i havent done all my pursuits yet ( especially the racing or hotshots ) but im at the last main mission, so now im doing the last of the side missions in san fran, did all the sides in the north, so imagine you can, just might take ya a good while...some pursuits give you a nice chunk of ego though as well...do a lot of co ops, they give some decent exp...i think the racing pursuits is there for people so they can get that black charger or whatever it is cuz that seems the only real reward for all that work

even if you do arkfalls or co ops, youre still gonna get a pursuit for it, so its kinda eh, but you can try

maybe, but lately seems like moving up 100 ego levels is hard to do once in the 1000s ... then agian its due to the no credit on missions etc

Pursuits will get you about what 700 ego so na but without a grinding method it will take you a good 2 months

very true, i figured id be at 2000 by now lol but dammit man, its a grind but a good 1, just hope its all worth it in the end

well, i'm at 1070 right now. I have some pursuits done, I just don't care about the racing ones and a lot of stuff is tied to that. I have main story done and all side missions north of the bridge. i'm just working on San Fran side missions and co-op maps right now. But you mean to tell me I can't grind my way to 5000 without these stupid races?

Not sure I believe this. You get XP just from killing, so unless you eventually stop getting XP from kills I'm not seeing how you can't hit 5000 unless you do pursuits. From my understanding pursuits just speed up the process.
