    Anyone have a source?
I don't see why the devs would need to say that.

They've already said that killing things gives XP and filling the XP bar gives EGO. Do you agree that this has been said by devs?

According to you, this process will stop at some point. However, I haven't seen anything to back that up. If you can provide something, I'd love to see it.

EDIT: Actually, they have said that there's a limit---EGO 5000. If there was any other limit, I don't see why they wouldn't have mentioned it...

I plan on playing this game a long time. And it's not like I'm not doing some pursuits. Any pursuit that isn't tied to a race I can and will complete. I have a bunch done already. I've been playing since day 1 and EGO 1070 so I think I'm fairly average as to where everyone else is. I'm just not interested in races and I hope it doesn't impede my progress. I guess I'll just wait and see.

yeah so im guessing once you get passed a certain ego lvl then im assuming that the pursuits will play a more vital role?...i play a ton of co ops and thats how ive gotten to ego 1220-ish, ive only done about 30 pursuits just cuz i get caught up in co ops and arkfalls lol but i spend most of my time in co ops helping other players cuz ive got all 7 co ops completed, its also how i get my keys as well cuz i can get about 3-4 on those maps...i dont which is the best way to max out 1s ego, i just do what i do and hope for the best lmao...so at what ego level does it actually start getting harder to increase your ego?

ok first off you can reach any ego you want if you do all the missions and sides then do your pursuits there are people that are already ego capped and the game hasn't been out for 2 months so do some research before you speak out of your butt just because you can not understand the simple play of a mmo style game and having 85 members is sad when none of them are active

I think you can get to 2500 doing just main missions and combat. For the rest, you will either be doing a ton of grind or have to complete pursuit requirements.

I don't know of a single benefit of increasing EGO other than unlocking Perks or Perk Upgrades. If you only use a few of those Perks, then re-spec and you don't have to level grind much.

There is additional Perk slots at certain EGO rating but I think past 1000, you have to increase by a whole 1000 EGO before you get another slot so definitely not worth the effort.

I am at ego 2668, and I noticed at 2000, levels start to get real slow. I only play about 3 hours a night, in that time I MAY get 20 ego, but usually only 10. Now the main thing for leveling is the pursuits which I am 77/104 done at the moment.

Edit: 3 hours without hard core grinding and more relaxed play with some friends.

You cannot get to 5k without the pursuits.

Yes filling the bar gets you an ego point to spend in the ego grid....which is worth no ego rating. When you increase anything in the ego grid (spend the point you just got for filling the xp bar) you gain 10 ego rating. There are 280 things to spend ego points on. So the grid accounts for 2800 ego when it is filled. This is ego rating for the grid only, not the pursuits the grid fills as you accomplish pursuits via the grid. IE: max out 25 perks....etc

Pursuits account for 1276 ego rating if I remember right. Some of which cannot be done without some of the content that is not available in game currently.

I think you should keep playing the way you want to play. 5k ego is worthless. 4k is the real cap. You get Nada (at least publically known ATM) for having 5k ego. At 4k ego you get your final perk. It is possible you might pick up some inventory slots at 5k or maybe the extras on weapon/shields/grenade drops are better at 5k.....who knows. You will complete some pursuits just by playing without having to try to. I am sure you will hit 4k from just fighting.

i wonder why trion made it like that, im a completionist so im working my butt off to get to 5k ego, not for braggin rights but just cuz i like to max everything out, im like that with just about every game i have lol ( its a curse from back in the day when my friends would talk about having everything in the game, ie max # of items in their inventory, max spells, max damage on their weapons etc, etc ), so if to achieve max ego is based purely on pursuits then that kinda suck, i dont mind doing the pursuits but i tend to forget cuz i get caught up in arkfalls and helping people with co ops all the time
