This is a couple of days old, but I just saw it. Apparently, Comcast (SyFy's parent company) loves Defiance. NBC's broadcast arm is still getting its butt kicked, but Comcast is using Defiance as an example of their successful programming strategy for their investors.

Looking forward to Season 2. I think a lot of both tv and game issues will be ironed out in stages between end of Season One and the hiatus leading up to Season 2. I hope that Trion has taken stock of the programming and content issues to provide stronger story integration between the 2 mediums. The fans have spoken and obviously want more - so here's hoping that more is being developed incorporating as much pertinent feedback as possible.

    Very excited about the news!
Have to say, I am getting frustrated with the game, to be honest... but the show is still great.

With the amount of money they invested to get it out this was expected. Even if it didn't meet their expectations they are still going to continue with it to recoup those costs because they aren't with only one season. The only way they wouldn't is if the show completely bombed and wasn't generating revenue at all. I like the show though so I'm glad SyFy is continuing with the original programs.

On another note one of my favorite shows Southland was cancelled today. The season finale which is now the series finale left on such a horrible cliff hanger it's madding. It's nearly the exact same thing that was done to Alphas which SyFy cancelled on a great cliff hanger.

THR: How does the game world connect to the TV show?

Butler: In the game you start out playing with the lead character of the show and get to know him before he disappears. I would love to tell you the whole twist there because it is amazing, but I am not allowed to. The next time you see that lead character he is driving away from you and on the TV show you see him driving into the main action. There will be these constant direct crossovers in virtually every episode.

Yeah I wish they wouldn't insist on this dumb-*** notion of each season has to finish on a cliffhanger.. because this cancellation mid-flow happens so often, especially with a channel such as Syfy. At least round up each season with some sort of respectable tie -up just in case, and then it doesn't leave as much of a bad taste in the mouth when they do cancel.

Given Syfy's reputation for being trigger happy, and not seeing stuff through to an adequate conclusion the talk has often been on the ability of the Game or the Show to survive without one or the other. The expectation has been that the show would most likely go bye-bye sooner than the game. Ironic then that on present form to an outsider looking in, it would seem a reversal of that notion would be the most likely outcome.

They invented this cool technology that allows you to wire an hdmi or even dvi cord from your pc to your tv this astounding technology has been out for roughly 15 years originally with a basic SD cable. I enjoy watching it online on my big LED tv as well My xps m1730 (same one as Sheldon on the big bang theory) proves that this is possible
