I think this because if you look at the PC version it's a straight console port completely ignoring superior PC hardware options. If it shows up it would have to be a port except it's not that easy on consoles with another certification process and patching issues a long with specific servers to support the platforms.

The odds are so against it, but I guess anything is possible. I wouldn't be hoping for it though if I were you.
I couldn't find the interview, however TRION have already stated that bringing Defiance to the next gen consoles is something they would like to do.

First I'm very glad to see the show extended. I've been watching it every Monday via DVR because I'm normally working.

Second, I liked SG:U. It wasn't the most original but it brought a different view to the Stargate universe(don't mind the play on words). If a race was able to make stargates it was bound to be a part of their ships at some time. Syfy always cancels the shows I like so just give it time. I'm sure the same will happen here. Some things never change.

Dlc+time will help a lot to in the game. In a month they have fixed a lot. While they may have messed some things up along the way its going in the right direction.

All in short, play it to have fun. Watch the show while it last. Hope syfy don't screw it up!

Not sure if trolling or tech genius? I know I can hook up my laptop to my TV, I even have a dvi to hdmi cable somewhere or I could even use my tablet via the mini hdmi but why mess about hooking things up when it's far easier to just switch the sky box on and watch SyFy HD. Sorry if this comes across as brash but you did throw a little sarcasm in with your post.

So you can play Super Amazing Wagon Adventure through Steam on that same 50" TV to make it look even better. Worse.

And then browse the Defiance forums.

And maybe watch an episode of Defiance in a window during any of the above.

It actually works really well, my setup is this
    Media pc Q6600 8gb nvidia 460gtx
890 films ripped to hard drive (didn't have space to display them any more)
62 series from Space 1999 to Blake's 7 all ripped to drive.
    50" LED TV

Now me and wife can watch anything on the main TV or play any game if we do not want to play on main pc.

i simply have the cable hooked up always and simply plug it in when need be this is also how i stream movies from my pc and put it on my tv its not complex in the slightest. You said you can't watch it on your laptop and would rather watch on your hd tv you can dodge commercials simply by streaming it from your laptop and using your tv as the screen. Not familiar with what a sky box is we don't have those in Canada.

Many of my clan mates do not have cable so i post a link so they can stream it commercial free and watch it from there pc or hook it up to there smexy tv. i usually watch it on my led hd tv as i have a dvr and i can just fast forward through showcase's commercials. however i like to play at the same time the episode is going to often play on my tv and stream the episode on my pc
