And so far the big loot weekend has been another night of white/green garbage. I think I've spent more time today salvaging it than I have playing.

At least you're getting whites and greens, I haven't seen a single weapon drop since I started doing missions.

That depends entirely on where you buy the mod cache.

Also, I've only bought about 5 T4 lockboxes; received 2 Orange weapons. I've never seen orange any other way. (EGO 1300+)

I'm 2600 ego, and have never even seen a purple drop (not including arkfalls)

No.... Mod cache location does not determine whether you're going to get brutal mods or not. The only time a mod cache depends on location is when you're buying the rep mods.

Sledge, you might want to check those drop tables again.

Basic enemy=up to green
Monarch/Hulker/Grenadier/Blacklung/Bulwark/Minigunner/Forge=up to blue
Major arkfall=up to purple
Lock Box=up to orange

I don't know about minors since I don't do them that often. The point here is nobody has ever heard of anyone getting an orange from anywhere but a lock box with the exception of you.
