Rare loot weekend

This RARE loot weekend just seems like a deceptive ploy on Trion's part to convince people to play more.
I run around with just reward and piñata and haven't seen an increase in gear drops or come across any legendaries (in open world events). Sure it's still early into this weekend and maybe my luck will change. But as of now, it hasn't.

It's hard for me to be convinced of something when you haven't experienced it yourself.

Also its hard to trust someone's word when you see ninja nerfs (for a lack of a better word) of vendor vehicle price increase. It makes you wonder what other 'hidden' nerfs they've implemented. Sure, Trion can change the content without an explanation, but it just seems deceptive.

I've also bought 3 x Tier3 lockboxes this weekend and received more green weapons. Usually I get Blues/Purples and maybe 1 green from a lockbox. 1 lockbox I got 3 greens!

Tier 3 doesn't SEEM to have 1/2 the rate of orange drops that Tier 4 has. One person's luck, documented in a spreadsheet, isn't everyone's luck.

I've lost count of the number of lockboxes I've opened. Lately I wait for 72 keycodes then buy 3 Tier 3's and hope that something good shows up in the 9 items. So far in this game, I've gotten an orange flashbang and an orange lobber. Nothing I wanted to use or keep. Purple is very comforting in dark, orange-free periods. I'm getting by...

That would be false, Legendary weapons can drop from anything that has a loot table.

Are you sure about that?
I've killed more than 41.000 enemies so far and have yet to see an orange drop.

You should totally look at your drop rates, this is ridiculous.

Have to agree here with Sdric, im probably closer to 70k kills now then 50k that i beat more then a week ago and havent seen any Purples or Oranges as drops anywere. The occational purple from Arkfalls true (granade/shields) other than that no Purples or Oranges in any Co-Ops or open world so far.

Exept from the lockboxes.

If this is supposed to apply then you guys need to check your data if its applied correctly.

Completely agree with Sdric and M00N. Never seen anything better than a blue drop in the open world, and that has like a 0.000001% chance to drop.

Looks like you guys might've messed up your loot tables and don't realise.

i get a few purple drops every day... and like the fact that oranges are nearly impossible lockbox and drop... the reason i hated other mmos is it felt like everyone was the same and had the same stuff... by that point it feels like everyone is playing any other online multiplayer game like COD or Halo or whatever... it makes it feel like everyone rushes to the top and then they pvp... i like that the top is far away and everyone is all around different levels and gear.. and that skill plays a factor as much as gear... its different and more interesting...

its funny how people want this game to have all the stuff other mmo's have... but if that was true they would complain or be mad about it being the same... no happiness can be made... only you can make yourself enjoy what you have...

love this game and love everyones opinion though... without the bad in this world... there would be no good... without pain one can not know happiness... the good and the bad are both apart and required for life. now back to my mission... lol

Should have named this cheat week-end. Only impossible pvp, 1 shot arkfalls and even coop maps swooped in under a minute. F'n pointless to play, just incredibly sad.

Don't know what the point in this loot weekend thing is. 17% more likely (after I bought my clan boost upgrade) and I get 5 greens and 4 blues from 3 T3 lockboxes (sad thing is, that's business as usual. If I go T4 I'll get 2 greens and 2 blues instead...). The loot in this game will make me leave more then the bugs. I haven't seen an orange in weeks (3000+ ego). I can be patient for the bugs to be fixed, I can be patient for the terrible balance of PvP to be fixed, I can be patient for the new content to arrive...but the TERRIBLE loot tables have got to be changed.

It seems to me that the higher my EGO has become, the less likely hood of anything decent of dropping. Real incentive to keep playing...

Don't know what the point in this loot weekend thing is.

I suspect the point of the loot weekend is to counter Neverwinter's "Double Astral Diamonds Weekend", Marvel Heroes Online open beta weekend, etc. It's kind of funny watching the various free-to-play games all basically fighting to see who can shout "no no, look here, over here!" the loudest.

hmm play the game for 2 hour now take break no "rare gun" i see so far of play game... only get green, blue, puprle gun... ehh... try some those lock box but no luck there...

only thin i see bout this special is that they want you pay real money to get those rare lock box thins i guess... game play see same to me...
