I was asking myself that question, too. The best drop I got was blue. I doubt there are purple or orange drops.

From what I understand, drops are only blue, green and white.

Purple shields and grenades are mostly dropped after major Arkfalls - but purple and orange weapons are only obtainable from lockboxes (Tier 3 mostly).

I don't get much time to play these days, but I have mostly purple weapons and got my first orange weapon last week.

EDIT: Apologies, purple weapons can be brought from vendors after obtaining enough reputation points.

I think I bought my purple weapon. I haven't come across orange drops yet, but I agree that it is mainly blue or green drops from what I can see.

Yeah, I was kinda understanding that the drops didn't change rarity but you have a 10% better chance at getting the better loot. As in Lockboxes, Tier 4 has like a 4% chance to be an orange, but now its a 14% chance. I got an orange SMG last night in a Tier 4, so I somewhat believe it...
