What IF the xbox 720/infinity isnt backward compatible?

Hi, just a thought as i'm thinking about getting the season pass. do you think Trion will do a
xbox 720 edition of the game and we can migrate our account to it??? IF the new xbox isn't backward compatible.
its just I think a lot of people will get the 720/infinity and it will be a waste of money to get the season pass IF only one DLC come's before November????
    thanks

Sony and Microsoft aren't just going to abandon the PS3 and 360 once the next gen hardware hits the store shelves. The next gen consoles aren't going to have the kind of sales that this gen has had. First off, the worlds economy is still fairly weak and even though it's improving evey day a lot of people are watching how they spen their money. Another thing is that I think most gamers, myself included, truly believe there's a lot of life still left in this gens consoles and aren't going to just abandon it because of newer tech being a available. This really ties into the economic reasons I mentioned.

My prediction is that both PSN and XBLA will be available and supporting the current gen hardware for at least 2-5 years after the release of the new consoles. Of course either Sony or Microsoft, or both, could be real d***s and just pull the plug within a year in order to try and force consumers to buy the new machines. But this is unlikely because unless the next gen has phnenomenal first year sales a lot of devs are going to keep making money with this gens hardware as long as the current machines and their networks are still online. People will still be making cash purchases in games like Defiance and Mass Effect 3 and they'll still be buying DLC for games while they can.

This is all speculation on my part and I'm basing a lot of this on little more than gut feelings and the fact that I took a few business courses in school. But I think everyone can agree that most likely the current systems will still be as is for at least another few years.

If it isn't everyone will just play destiny. The next big Xbox mmo.. Lol

But really developers have known (but sworn to secrecy) about what the deal was with Xbox infinity. Especially devs that decided to release a game this year. So I imagine they either didn't care or have something in store for the console switch.

I for or think it will be backwards compatible, m$ can't possibly be that bold as to kill their own games for example their baby "halo 4" which is supposed to have a game life of at least 2-3 years based on past halos.

It'll be interesting what Xbox infinity has to offer but I'm not holdings breath that it'll kill off current Xbox games.

The current rumor I believe is that MS is releasing two consoles. The Infinity or Durango or whatever it is called these days and a stripped down 360 with no disc drive that focuses on the on-demand games. That tell me that they will continue to support the 360 for quite some time after the next gen console hits. I'm not sure what Sony is doing. Considering that Sony just stopped producing PS2s not that long ago shows that Sony supports the old consoles for quite some time.

If the new Xbox is not backwards compatable then I will not be very happy, The Xbox 360 has not yet been pushed to its limits so why release a new console so early? I do hope I can still play 360 games on it.

I think a lot of people will have to trade in/sell their 360 to fund the new xbox.

Speak for yourself. I have two Xboxes. Will be getting one without trading anything in. Cause you know I have a job and know how to save.
