I dont have an issue holding down the mouse button for my aiming/scope. What I am completely hating and wanting the designer of dead is this aim-assist ****. I get hit by something I know is there and my character whips around like an aimbotter and looks at the damned thing. **** that, get rid of it. I happily kite around everything at arkfalls while shooting the crystal, or weak point of whatever needs killing. But when something slaps me and I spin around, I have a high probability of dying because of this crap. I have turned off Aim-Assist, it auto turns itself back on every 2minutes (I timed the damn thing cause it was pissing me off this much).

    So...>_>

even with aim assist off, dark matter snipers will spin you if their shots connect. just an fyi.

Yeah, why should they add something you don't agree with...

Do you not understand the difference between a third person shooter and a first person shooter? It has nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing, you want them to completely change the structure of the game?

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

But it happens with everything Q_Q DM Snipers dont really spin me as more make me look in a random location.

You name it, it can turn me if it hits me from the sides or back...just doesnt matter. Hell my aim-assist isnt bugging out atm and resetting to on and it still happens with it turned off. Its getting annoying.

"completely change the structure of the game"

...aim toggle, also known as "sticky" ADS (aim down sight).

How the motherloving f**k does being a 3rd person shooter have ANY bearing on this argument.

Let's use the same logic for this shall we.

"I don't like holding CTRL the entire time I'm crouching, let's turn on TOGGLE CROUCH"

    And a more direct example

"I don't like holding RMB the entire time I'm aiming, let's turn on TOGGLE ADS, oh wait, I can't, there's no option".

Can anyone in this forum explain to me how adding this "completely changes the structure of the game", anyone? Anyone?

    Yeah, didn't think so.

Ya, aim assist is a crap idea inverter for crap console players that can't aim in the first place. PC users have been holding RClick down while running and shooting for over 15 years. That's why totally cross-platform shooters have never worked. PC users can't be beat by a console player, even when a bad PC player meets an elite console player the odds are in favor of the PC user. If you need aim assist go back to a console where you can whine in comfort.

The structure of the game is a third person shooter, you want a setting to change it so you're always in first person?
That changes the structure of the game, the very premise of a third person video game.
Your analogy doesn't work because crouching has nothing to do with the difference between first person and third person.
So why did you bring it up? did you think it brought validity to your argument? because it didn't.
So like I asked the first time, why should they add an always first person setting to a third person shooter?

Aim toggle, as an option, sure. Then I'm all for it. Personally I prefer the aiming as it is.
    Platform: PC
    Character: Blackwolfe (EU)

He doesnt mean 'always first person' you cretin. What people want is to be able to just click once to go to their scope instead of holding right click the entire time they're aiming, then click again to go back to normal view and carry on once whatever is dead.

Shocker, people dont like having to hold a mouse button whilst turning and aiming because it's just not comfortable.
