is anyone else experiencing where it sounds like everyone who is talking is whispering or is it just me? i cant even use my mic because no one can hear me when i talk. and does anyone know if they are working on making it better at all?

The problem with whispers/annoyingly loud people in any game is they are most likely using some 10 buck earpiece from the local market. If you plan on being online in an mmo or most games today it's a good idea to invest in a decent headset at least.

If they can't hear you it might because you have chat on mute. And if you are in area chat or if they are in area chat the further you guys are from each other the lower the voice.

i have area chat muted though, and im using turtle beach headsets. is there something else i might be missing?

I'm pretty sure it's a bug on Trion's end because I've had the issue and several others too. They need to completely get mics working on this game.

Ditto that, I have a fairly decent Logitech USB headset that works really well for everything else I use it for (Skype / Vent / other PS3 games). but I have had nothing but trouble with it on this game.

sometimes I can hear other people, sometimes nothing, I adjusted the pickup volume in the PS3 menu and most of the time people can hear me, even when I cant hear them.

honestly tho I still find Mic chat kinda annoying as I cant really hear the TV on my other screen when I have headphones on

The only thing that i've found that helps with the naturally low voice volume is to mute all voice channels that you aren't currently using. It gets a little louder. Plus not having people talking over one another is nice. I play a lot with a person who has a tiny voice. Can't hear them very well in clan sometimes, so grouping and muting the other chats turns it up a tiny bit.
