    'Live streams'?
Are these truely 'live', only, or can I catch up on them somewhere, see them all?

    Thnksbye.
After each episode of the TV show they have a live stream to talk about it. I watched the first, got bored with it and stopped watching as a lot of it was cut scenes from the episode we just watched and stuff that I just didn't care about it. I had hoped it would be more... I don't know meaty in terms of what they offered but it felt like 100% fluff. Just my opinion.

+400 shield is one extra shotgun shot to kill... won't exactly make you a tank in PvP... neither will any of the perks available. It's probably mostly skill and well modded weapons that make >4ks hard to kill.

We even look the same by missions, pursuits and the market.
Everyone has to complete the same missions/pursuits in order to reach the max Ego Rating. Unless you grind all the way to 5000, which nobody is going to choose to go that route.

Just implementing ways to make your avatar's look unique, I think would make a huge difference in a player's drive to 5000.

I've been around for a while, so I've played or tried most MMOs. I know a fail of a game when I see one, and this is not one. It's fresh. It's new, but then maybe starts to sloooooow dooooown a bit. Which then would crash and burn, but not Defiance. Defiance has huge potential and I believe it will succeed. Or maybe I'm just speaking too soon and need to shut up.
People worry to much about their ego level instead of just having fun... 100 vs 5000 really doesn't mean anything to me.. Been playing since launch... around 1700 now.. I do a bit of everything but mostly PvP....

My favorite weapon is a white one with low ego... I dunno.. Just play the game and have some fun.. This isn't a get to max level game which I'm highly thankful for.. It's truly.. do what you want..

    Edit: Stop being egomaniacs!!

You really don't need to get to EGO rating 5,000. There's going to be 5 DLC's. If you max your character out this early you'll be wasting a lot of played time in the future where you could have been gaining experience/weapon skill just by simply playing the game, not grinding.

If the DLC is challenging I probably won't be getting weapon XP because I'll be using my good gear.

But the point about EGO is pretty fair, depending on what you do. If you like to PvP a lot, its probably a good idea to try to get EGO 4000 before all of the perk slots and potentially stronger shields. Every advantage helps out.

I do think Trion dropped the ball on initial content and they should've known people would burn through the main story and side missions pretty quickly and prepared for that.

I can certainly see how someone could feel like they hit a wall as far as character advancement goes and I really hope DLC is big enough to hold players over from one to the next rather than have a short set of missions that people burn through in a few days then another month or so before the next set. I ended up joining a major gaming clan with a presence in many online games and I have to say that doing so has really helped me enjoy the game more. If people haven't done so already and are becoming bored with Defiance I really encourage them to do the same; it really can make all the difference.
They got all the basics down for a good MMO however they are missing the golden carrot on the stick. This game SERIOUSLY needs a Heroic verion of the current 5 mans that drop 'real' purples I.E. orange gear.

    For my example:

Have a new weapon color say red. The weapon has a Unique look to it plus an aura or self illumination that illuminates off nearby objects like out chars. There is 5 'tiers' for the heroics and hopefully 10 man raids and that each tier gets a slot but each slot is equivalent of a combined total stats of a 1K weapon if tier 1 is an example (so a tier 5 would have 5 slots.) The 5 slots would be simply a flat % boost to Shields/ego regen/Health and Healing. No two of the same type can be equip so with 2 weapons, grenade and shield; you need to get a 'matching' set to make a complete set. of course tier 2 through 5 would allow 2 through 4 of the same thing. Tier 5 for 5K would have the normal stats usually given on purples also!

Add unique uniforms that comes in different hues to show which tier been completed and you got yourself one heckuva carrot on a stick.

Just an idea. We need 'heroics' and raids seriously to have something to kill time with between expansions and DLCs.

Getting perks slot, load slots, and slightly better weaponry isn't worth it?

I'm 16xx now, gonna shoot for 2000 then go casual mode.

I've never felt it was much of a grind, yet. With pursuits, challenges, races, weapon / mount leveling, and character leveling there more than one way to skin a cat.

I'm guessing that the grind comes a bit later, but at that point I'm not gonna be chasing the dragon.

    Dear Dominazn:

I share similar feelings, especially about depth of character development. Changing races or character types seems to make no difference, we all appear to be the same cookie cutter figures running around.

    What's my motivation here?

Why do people feel the need to roll alts? Just to re-do the same content.. I'd rather be able to explore new abilities and not be locked into a certain class. Changing races shouldn't matter except for cosmetics.. The reason you seem to be the same size models is because you are.. It's for balance..

Your motivation is to have fun.
