I use them all the time and seem to get more random drops than my friends. I run the simple Pinata perk which is just a boost and the melee drop perk which has a better chance for dropping on a melee kill. I look at it as any help is help no matter how low the percentage. Good luck!

We get 1.05% damage boosts from nano mods and act like that matters... ::shrugs:: Really?
I waste so much time salvaging a pantload of low-yield crap as it is, who needs 'More' crap.
I'd rather salvage less 'Better' crap.
And the salvage process, even with hitting 'Enter' instead of clicking is still a PITA.
Try Pinata with explosions then run Motherlode instance. The loot... it's crazaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!
IMO, the game isnt very hard so I don't mind swapping out a few perks
on my main build I run piñata and just rewards, detonator for piñata and whatever I feel like to get crits for just rewards ( though a detonator gets crit kills too.) Currently a pistol. Don't have the ego to get the melee drop bonus perk yet.
As far as being worth, who knows? I have no idea what the percentage is relative to so it hard to say. I'd like to say I notice more drops, but probably a placebo. But in the long run that small percentage can likely add up to a lot.
Overall a + drop loading seems deserving of a loadout slot. I mean, it is only a loadout slot and a few perk points. I think it is a good arch typical class just like tank, dps etc.
