How was extra green loot weekend for you?

I have pretty much resigned myself to the possibility that I will never see an orange. I am forcing myself to ignore it and continue enjoying the game with what weapons I do have. At this point I have a private bet going myself on whether I will actually get an orange before I inevitably move on from Defiance. (That's not a threat. I'm simply saying that, as will all games, I will eventually move on.)

It was a bad move to call it "rare loot weekend" I got 1 blue everything else was white and I maybe got 3 greens. They should have called it "slightly better loot than normal but not really weekend" I'm very disappointed.

Yea, "10% loot drop weekend" would have been better. If they would have actually increased the value for the rare loot to drop, that would be different.

I just want to know why some people are getting these things so easily and others can not.

I have been pondering the same question for quite some time now.... and have come up with an bold conclusion. Hold on to your hats, and you may want to put down your controller so you dont bounce it of a wall.

I have 2 bros i run with regularly. We pulled a 24 hour marathon at release, yes we endured all the downtime as well. We have been playing just about every day since. I am in game quite a bit more than them at around lvl 2900ish. They both have around 5 to 7 orange items, I have none. I have yet to see one from a single lock box.

Now I might have chalked this up to just bad luck on my part, if the following unusual anomolies werent occuring in game:

- 3 of us enter a co op, only 2 of us get credit for completion on our daily mission.
- 3 of us complete our weekly contracts, but it randomly resets for one of us, showing incomplete.
- 3 of us kill the motherlode final boss in under xx minutes, only 2 of us get credit and the outfits.
-1 of us has complety stopped aquiring weapons with all four mod slots unlocked since the second week after release. the other 2 still come across weapons with all 4 slots unlocked pretty regularly.
- 3 of us click on the same data recorder, 2 of us get a pursuit update. 1 of us does not, and that same person cannot collect the same recorder again in order to get credit on pursuits.

There are a number of other bugs we have come across that only effect one group member for who knows what reason.

I have come to the conclusion that certain players are simply bugged and cannot receive orange items from lock boxes. Is this really such a far fetch considering al the other bugs that only effect certain players. If anyone thinks such a bug is impossible, i welcome the devs or any players to offer up their proof.

While I would hate to think it is possible for certain unfortunate players to be bugged in such a way that they couldnt acquire orange items, I am presently bugged in that I can not level up my weapon skills. I have tried new, unmoded weapons in multiple categories all over the map and in co-op but no dice...I have also played through the main mission twice and I have 0 orange items.

I agree with you, because I'm that guy who hasn't gotten a single legendary from a lock box, ever. Yet people in my clan who play a lot less than me pull them like candy. All the time, in fact. Even from Tier 2's! Yet I open Tier 4 after Tier 4 and get nothing but salvage. I hope Trion comes out and admits there is a bug in their system and patches it, because players like me (who spend money on bits all the time) are basically out of patience. There are a lot of other games out there.

The problem is you're buying lock boxes that aren't Tier 4. Tier 4 is the way to go. Don't think that the lower price means you're getting a deal. Your chances are way higher at getting better loot with the Tier 4.

Man, I basically only buy T4. I started buying T3's for a while because clan mates were getting great stuff from them (and also from T2's), but 80% of what I have bought has been T4 - has to be at least 60-70 of them and not a single orange. You're telling me that's normal? I'm convinced the loot drop from boxes is bugged for some gamers, and I hope Trion addresses it soon.

It could be. I only say that based on your 60-70 T4's though. You can't go by what others get out of their T2's and such, because that's just very lucky for them. It is more likely though that you're just very unlucky. I'm not sure how a bug such as this would even exist.

TOTAL GARBAGE - EPIC FAIL - Felt more like a SCAM than a true event... TRION Take a lesson from CoD or other games make bonus weekends SPECIAL and MEANINGFUL - I have not seen even 1 Orange come from a Lock Box in an entire week. Before I would at least see a couple a week from boxes, this last week, no drops, no boxes, no Oranges from either.
