Will the New Episode Missions Require Completion of the Old Missions?

TRION said Monday it will release new missions, The Irathient Vagabond Missions. My question is will they be like side quests or must we complete the old missions before playing them? I have been taking my time to complete the Main Mission because they offer diversity while playing ark falls and coops. But I don’t want to miss out on the new material, especially if they are time sensitive. So should I hurry up and finish the main missions or can I take my time????

Up to Trion to confirm but, without spoiling you too much on the main storyline, I don't see a link between them which would prevent you to play both arcs, especially if they go the way they did for the Nolan arc intro to the show.
Episode missions and main story were separate arcs, only requiring to have completed an early mission (Accord Hospital which is more of the end of the tutorial in the open world) to pop up on the map.

However the teaser says the "Bay Area" and only players who have completed the main quest have access to this area.

I think the entire map is The Bay Area.

EDIT: I checked Wikipedia to verify, and "The Bay Area" refers not only to San Francisco, but also the counties around it.

So, unless I complete all of the main mission, I cannot enter San Fran to complete the Episode Mission Pursuit and find the Data Recording.

I have to say that bites.

We need Trion to reconsider this. Why should people be penalized for taking their time and enjoying the game, or even buying it late.

I would consider this a bug.

You need to have met Cooper for the Rynn Episode missions since in that... he already knows you and stuff

I am not sure you had to have done the Nolan Episode missions or not. I doubt it for that one.

Do your self a favor, and blitz any mission you have. Storyline, episode, what ever. Get it done, because if you miss it...tough luck doing it again. I didn't finish episode 3 cause the requirements where PVP and I wasn't really in the mood until recently...turns out they removed the pursuit all together so I cannot even go back. Basicly, its like having dam defense in your pursuit requirement but you cannot complete it since its no longer in game...yeah, that kind of crap that I suggest getting it over with.

The episode storyline didn't show for me til I completed the main story arc... May just be my experience but is how I gotto do them

Why in the Hell would they remove content from the game? They should let us play the episode missions as much as we want.
