Will Defiance survive? I think the game is a HOT MESS

The true hallmark of success of any game is not only initial purchases, it is long term subscribers, and people getting their friends to play - in addition positive AR/PR from reviewers, players and Game stores makes a huge difference in the ultimate success or failure of a game.

So I ask other players, are you happy, excited, feeling good, getting bored, quitting, leaning toward quitting, giving it time but starting to get disappointed, losing faith in the devs, will play forever no matter what, or like me do you agree it is a HOT MESS?

    Where are you right now?

Now consider this... if every DLC is 10.00 from now on will you buy them, get a pass like I did or just say forget it if the game does not improve?

    In my opinion...

I am going to continue to play BUT I am starting to doubt the Devs can fix the hot mess they have made.

Defiance offers Action, gun play, and lots of stimulation for the visual senses and in some cases you can even feel strategic and heroic in PvE

Where it misses - no true economy (no AH), an enormous amount of bugs that are not being addressed, lack of thought provoking meaningful story content for an MMO, no crafting skills, lack of larger groups, bugged rewards, Arkfalls are a sad substitute for Raids, lack of different PvP games, they have nerfed things players enjoyed such as getting keys for side missions/emergencies - making us feel less heroic, (I can go on but will stop there)

I am giving the game a few more patches but if this Hot Mess doesn't improve Ill find something else to play and drop this like a hot rock.

They certainly need to fix the persistent bugs that have been mucking things up in the game.

But I'd also like to see new missions come up. Like maybe weekly episode missions that tie in with the show more. Stuff like the conspiracy to destroy Defiance also involves what's happening in the game. Or maybe another Voug(SP?) army is on its way to Defiance and it has to pass through the game first and its up to us to stop them, and depending on how we do it effects the show. That kind of stuff. That is kind of why I wanted to play this game to see how the game and show effect each other.

I've been playing since January and it was a REAL hot mess then - they have done so much to fix it I have faith it will get sorted. I have yet to play an MMO that doesn't improve over time, I beta Guild Wars and lordy you wouldn't recognize it. I have hope and faith and a voodoo doll that this will improve....

I am with Conventon on this one. My desire to log in is waning however that is normal and completely ok to feel that way and leave the game for awhile if I feel like it. Seriously this is normal for MMos. new stuff yippee til we rush through it then it's wahhhhh and I'm Leaving!!! til the next stuff comes out that is and rinse and repeat.

I will play when I want to and not play when I don't. I will spend on bits as much or as little as I want. I am not in any way shape or form hold a desire to get through it all as quickly as possible. It will happen when I want to or never if the servers ever shut down.
