Do Not Nerf Shotgun/Cloak, Buff other EGO Abilities and Weapons

i wouldnt mind a nerf to cloak, i dont use it and the annoying kids use it in flocks thinking there so great at this game, but the pvp in this game is rather stupid i just wish i didnt have to play it to get some achievements. . . but once i do i will be done with the ****fest that is defiance pvp

Please explain why the PvP in this game is stupid. Why am I now considered a kid because I use cloak? (Not the only thing I use by any means)... I don't think, "I am so great at this game" but I do fairly well and plenty of others do just as well as me if not better.

No one said you have to get those achievements.. I'm sorry you feel as though you have to in order to feel like you achieved something that you hated doing in the first place....

your right no one is holding a gun to my head saying get those achievements or ill shoot you, figured id give them a shot. either way i get them because i want to but going up against every single person using clock and a shotty makes pvp the stupidest that i have played in any game to date and thats my opinion dont like it dont respond

Well.. a whole team spamming infectors was the stupidist thing I'd ever seen... but I found a way to counter them (cloak + shotty).... So if I run into that team again I have a build for them... I also have a build for a team of cloakers.. and other builds to counter other builds...

Here.. I'll give you a tip.. one of many many ways to counter a cloaker:

Full Tank Overload Build with a long range syphon weapon with a sawed off on the ready also preferably a syphon. Cloaker will shoot you and be like wtf! You turn around and blast him with your sawed-off.. if he doesn't die pop overload and pop him again.

Be creative..

Edit: If I'm getting owned in a match I've been known to switch my entire build / weapons and start doing much better.

Just really depends on what your going against... mainly..

why wouldn't they nerf it, have to appease the PVP savages who will move onto other games once they tire of this game if they haven't already. It's how every game with PVE and PVP works, the PVE gets nerfed to all heck, the PVP savages just move onto the next game and ruin that. It's a never ending vicious cycle, the only people that suffer are the ones who enjoy PVE, now what will happen is the Infectors will get nerfed and be useless in PVE, shotgun will get nerfed and be Useless in PVE. So on and so forth until the game is a wasteland.

I mean shotguns in PVE are already a pretty hard sell, you need to be totally out of cover to use them effectively and when the ultimate damage nerf comes what point will their be to using a gun that has a slow reload, and doesn't kill mobs up-close effectively. Mean while the cloakers will just move onto something else and the base root problem will still exist.

Infectors are nice in PVE and great in PVP, after they get done they'll be lack luster in PVE (you already have to relay on the bug damage to actually make the gun useful) and totally utterly useless in PVP.

He never said that... The A.I could use a buff / Difficulty levels for co-ops.... Decoy is useless in PvP (IMO)... Makes perfect sense.. Get off the nerf wagon and beef up...

no Overcharge is fine the way it is both in PVP and PVE, Decoy is pretty amazing in PVE already, although in PVP it's close to useless.

Blur is well Blur, it's useful for moving around and being hard to hit I guess.

Cloak is amazing in PVP and pretty good in PVE.

Really it's not.. but we both have the right to our opinion.. I'm really just curious to see what they are going to do.. just lots of speculation, wishing & hoping right now.

I think you missed the point.. This applies to most games... Doesn't matter what the label in the middle says.. could of taken that out and been the same...

They'll nerf shotguns if they want to nerf shotguns. They'll nerf cloak if they want to nerf cloak. They turn your character into a pow if they want to turn your character into a pow. Nothing you say or do will change that. They know best, they have statistics and a bigger picture than we could ever have. Just roll with it.
