Do Not Nerf Shotgun/Cloak, Buff other EGO Abilities and Weapons

I'd really like to see some stats about what weapons/ ego powers / perks that get used in pvp.

Not like we don't already know, but I'd like to see the data

Pvp is not popular in this game. If you think it is, pat yourself on the back. It takes a special person to be that stupid. Pvp is just a hash thrown in to gain a small amount of extra players. I'm sure you never heard "Hey, did you get the Deiance game? Yeah, it's got some killer PVP, it's totally pewpew. Gonna own some n00bz." If you had, you should have also bought yourself a lotto ticket.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that the only this reason this game exists is because of PVP. With 2 maps and the rare shadow war, yeah, let me tell you. Stop trying to justifiy your claims as facts, when you really haven't even stopped to think of the **** coming out of your mouth.

As for nerfs, who gives a damn. when something gets nerfed, people find another thing to abuse. The one's who complain day and night of something insignificant, are just kids on here. Just play the game. Cloak giving you trouble in PVP? Use a BMG that slows opponents, see how much they get pissed, because a BMG can auto lock onto a cloak person, so just fire it off from time to time, and they'll never get the drop on you. Get killed from behind by a shotgunner? Travel in a group, so if they do come from behind, he's only going to get one. PVP is teamwork, way to many idiots with the lone wolf mentality. Math is wonderful, it teaches you how 2 is greater than one, and so on and so on. The problem we have in this game is people will complain first, instead of thinking of a way to counter it. It's the hiding behind mommy and daddy mentality. Instead of taking on your own problems, you run to someone and throw a fit until they fix it so that it's how you want it.

Best advise anyone can get for this game is Shut up and play, or go somewhere else. Game needs alot of work, so *****ing about the small **** isn't going to get anyone anywhere.

Ofcourse half of the playerbase will be against the nerfs, they don't care for balance when they're the ones taking advantage of the overpowered factors. But that doesn't mean it doesn't need to happen, and it will! Prepare to have to change the way you play... Muahahahaha.

You are right, it will happen. It happens in every online anything sort of game. I think gone are the days of just being able to blatantly own someone.

PvP is popular in this game. Regardless of what you believe.. PvP Instant queues, and SW queues are getting faster and faster and sometimes instant back to back. It does have some killer PvP.. Sorry it's not your taste. Never once said I was going to go own noobz.. I just like to PvP..

Just because you like PvE better and may PvE more than PvP does not mean PvP is not popular because you are not doing it.. I hate to inform you.. but the world does not revolve around you.

If this game didn't have PvP I wouldn't play it... If this game didn't have a T.V show or PvE attached to it.. I would still play it solely for the PvP...

The next best thing to this game as far as PvP is concerned for me is quake live arena.... Pretty sad..

Their are actually 3 maps one is just broken and another one is on its way... Plenty of people play WoW solely for the PvP and it has much worse Map options and did for a long time.... Questing was a nuisance just to be able to eventually PvP...

The counter is being forced into a single EGO ability (Decoy) and a single perk (Sensor Sweep).

Does Overcharge force everyone else into a single ability with a single perk? No.

Does Blur force everyone else into a single ability with a single perk? No.

Does Decoy force everyone else into a single ability with a single perk? No.

Cloak stands alone in this regard which is why virtually everyone uses it. The other abilities can be countered with thought and skill; cloak cannot.

You're there one second and then the next a completely invisible player has one or two shotted you absolutely no indication of any kind. Hell, even the Decoy counter requires the operator to presume a cloaker is in the area or just randomly pop it off and hope to catch a cloaker.

No other ability is as thoughtless as cloak, sorry.

PVP. First of all, if you nerf Cloak, everyone will switch to blur and use closeup shotgun attacks in a similar way.

But my main point is buffing something like overcharged shot will allow people to use something other than cloak/shotgun cloak. Also, buff the AR/LMG/Sniper rifle. The players who actually aim their shot and use some strategy will be rewarded for doing so.

I play a lot of PVP and use a cloak/AR combo. I tried Overcharge shot, but it does only a little bit of damage extra when using an AR. It really shows when the infectors hit you, can't see what you are shooting, it's a loss almost every time. If I use cloak, I can at least get a few shots off on infectors before they blind me with there infections and bugs. A mor epowerful overcharged shot should kill them after a few shots, especially when I'm shooting blindly and they are bunny hopping.

I also think kepeing some shotgun/cloaks around will keep the games moving fast. I would not take them out of play, just add other viable builds other than sniping infectors.

Better yet, get rid of PvP alltogether. Keep Shadow Wars around for clans/guilds/those interested, but get rid of the mess that is PvP. Theyre wasting time/money on something that will never work correctly, unless they went about it in a completely different way.

Unless Trion changes is so that weapons are redone SOLELY in PvP, it will continue to lose players. Amending weapons for the entire game only pushes people away, rather than fixing the real issue (weapon inbalance).

The key point is this.

If you make balance changes to PVE, DO NOT HAVE THAT AFFECT PVP.

If you make balance changes to PVP, DO NOT HAVE THAT AFFECT PVP.

If they stick to that, I couldn't care less what else they do.

Really it's not.. but we both have the right to our opinion.. I'm really just curious to see what they are going to do.. just lots of speculation, wishing & hoping right now.

i wouldnt mind a nerf to cloak, i dont use it and the annoying kids use it in flocks thinking there so great at this game, but the pvp in this game is rather stupid i just wish i didnt have to play it to get some achievements. . . but once i do i will be done with the ****fest that is defiance pvp
