I'm in my 30s with wife and kids...and we love gaming! I know I'll be doing it...life permitting...well into the latter years!!!!!!! I grew up gaming (atari, nes, etc)...continue playing now (360,mobile games)...and hopefully able to partake of future gaming iterations!!!!!

Couldn't agree more. 44yrs and going strong. Began gaming at arcades, spending my $5 weekly allowance... will probably be one of the old folks still playing into my 60's an beyond (including some Kinect games).

Interestingly enough, this same question was brought in the Mass Effect MP forums, and there were quite a few older gamers there too, iirc one was over 70yrs. Age is just not an issue. The happy "I'm having so much fun" inner child is where it's at.

I played with him and a woman that was in her 60s for about a dozen games of Mass Effect one night.

As i stated earlier my grandma played SNES and NES until she passed away and she was in her mid to late 70s...i can bet she'd still be playing them today in her 80s if she was still alive.

i'm 33, started gaming when it was NES..i mean i played atari but never had a console until NES...i remember the day we got our NES...it was an AWESOME DAY!!

I have to agree, I'm a retired army vet(retired from the army in '92). Not only do I play these games, but I even started up a clan to support our vets. We're all 18-56. And if anyone tells you that your too old to be playing video games, just tell them, "Our generation created video games, we pay our own bills, own our own homes/cars. We better than anyone else have the right to play video games."
