The game needs reduced PVE play-ability. Pretty much all of the weapons are overpowered for PVE.

I'm taking it that your that group of people who gets shot and doesn't know how to use a shot gun aren't you.

let me let you in on something… PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE WHAT MAKES THIS GAME CRAP. all you people do is complain then stuff gets nerfed and people stop playing the game. seriously y'all need to chill bout complaining about the damage done to y'all in a PVP match, go outside and leave the game if you are going to complain.

Nim is a single encounter, and the game isn't training players to handle him. That's an exception to the rule, but it doesn't invalidate the rule.

Train players to handle Nim, even with weaker guns, and we won't have ludicrous threads where people are wiping 50 times on an encounter that, by all accounts, isn't as hard as it looks your first try.

You aren't being very constructive either to begin with. To be fair what "destroys" games is the failure to reach common grounds between PvPers and PvEers, it goes both ways.

Wait...if I followed what you just said correctly - just because someone refuses to use an overpowered class of weapons and then comments on the overpoweredness of said weapons....they make the game crap?

I'm generally against nerfs. I was quite disappointed when they nerfed the northstar. But I could see how ridiculously overpowered it was. But even before the nerf, you didn't see everyone running around using northstars with extended clip. From personal experience about 85% of kills during a match are from shotguns. It's gotten to the point where it seems the only real way to compete is to use one myself and I shouldn't have to feel that way.

I'm not saying that they need to nerf them into oblivion nor do I have any suggestions what they should do...but they do need to do something.
What? No Weather Dominator? You just expect the weather to dominate itself, huh?

This whole Nim thing is overdone,I agree.
A single fight that initially seems daunting only because every other encounter was over in seconds and bereft of strategy entirely .
The game is too easy and a single encounter at the end shouldn't be measured against the whole.
In fact, with a cluster ground pounder, the dreaded Nim is effectively removed from any constructive debate regarding PVE difficulty.

It's a good job difficulty doesn't equate to enjoyment for me

I am going to make an assumption here, and you can argue the counter if you want; From what i have seen through your posting on this forums you see yourself as an accomplished gamer that enjoys defiance, and doesn't see it as to difficult.

This being your mentality, I know there are many players who cannot say the same. I have spoken with players that feel the game is all together to hard, from hotshots and races all the way to storyline missions. Saying every weapon is overpowered for PvE is also assuming that the person wielding such a weapon has a large amount of awareness, and skill.

I know it is a balancing act, but currently I feel they have done a very good job. I am worried about the upcoming nerfs they feel are necessary because this game is new. With a new game a level of ignorance is involved and it takes any community time to find what works well and what counters such a build.

Shotguns themselves are not an issue, moving fullspeed and even potentially at 45% increased speed while stealthed is a large problem.

The developers are coming at this as if it's an issue that can be solved with a nerf, rather than an issue that can be solved with some necessary tweaking.

These tweaks could be as simple as decoy's breaking stealth for the duration (Think sonar), overpower increasing damage resistance, and/or blur leaving a longer trail of fake versions of yourself. These changes would positively effect PvE(Not making it more difficult, and only minimally easier), and hopefully do the same for PvP.
