Hi,

Took me 5 attempts, but once you get to know the area your playing in, it's easier....At the back of the room is two big tanks, use these for cover and keep moving around, don't stay in one spot all the time. I literally was back and forward none stop. Use the grenade launcher and every time one of those little flame thrower guys appears just lob one grenade at him so his tanks set alight. Once that's done move out their way and they run off under the Joe character and their tank explodes knocking out joes shield. Then just lob as many grenades at him till his shield goes up and repeat...

Felt great once I'd completed it, but makes me laugh when people say it's easy, might be for them, but wasn't for me.. But that's what I like about the missions, you feel like you've accomplished something when you finally beat them.

Is it just me or is this mission far to hard for a solo mission. Not only is your companion useless as she's nicely out of the way. I get really annoyed that you respawn outside of the area and have to redo it over and over again. There's no way in hell I can do this which means I can't continue on with the main story line. There needs to be either more help allowed or cut down on the amount of henchmen spawning. There's not enough time to hurt jack whilst being shot at by everyone else. It's a stupid setup

Use a combat shotgun for the smelters you will hit their back 99% of the time from the front with a head shot. It takes atleast 2 to kill them so you'll be fine. I had the same problem with him . Just couldnt figure out how to get around them so I went hobo with a shotgun crazy and it worked!
