Bring up your map, you should be able to abandon your current mission there and then you can go back and pick it up. Also, go to iron demon ranch, the episode mission doesn't show up on the map until you head to that generally area.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

You don't have to restart your main quest. This is more like a story quest. And it is right side of Iron Demon Ranch.

Well if this mission was a snippet into what the next episode is about, then I am not really looking forward to it. I found these disappointing, and although I didn't do the solo mission yet, I feel like it won't appeal to me much anyway. But, I will still watch it to find out what's happening.

Maybe I read this wrong. You are disappointed they are making the next episode in the direction of this mission, but you haven't played the mission yet?

No I am saying that I was disappointed with the first four or five parts of the episode mission, and thought that it wasn't great. I didn't do the solo mission yet so I wouldn't know. I saw the episode last night and I enjoyed it, so really my previous comment doesn't really matter now :P I will try and finish the episode mission and then will have a better insight into whether it was good or not

    It was pretty underwhelming.

It started off pretty cool. Rynn and Cooper making lots of references to the show. I thought "finally some cross-over content." But after that initial mission it turned to shtako.

I mean, 4 out of the 6 missions were just you going from Point A to Point B picking up data recorders. Very lame. Trion needs to stop away from this data recorder crap. It screams laziness. Then the final mission is another boring, generic instanced bunker. No strategy involved, no cool sights, no unique boss, etc.

Trion needs to step their game up.

I thought the episode mission was fun, but very short. I simply went to the left side of the compound (outside the fence), and took cover behind the big rocks in the back left. Killed the hellbugs as they approached and whittled down the troops on the inside.

The cut-scene was the best part, imo. After watching the TV episode and playing this mission, I find it hard to support E-Reps now. Wish I could start shooting them, too.

You have the map location where to activate the mission. I haven't been over there yet.

When the world goes to shtako, someone has to clean it up.
