So you made your choice to participate in the missions before the episode based on the assumption that missions hyped as connecting game and show would fall drasticly short of that and provide minimal to little link? A tad pessamistic, but seems fair enough. I mean its not filled with crazy flaws like assuming it would be pre episode content that was only relevant for a few hours and then would either be out of place for a week or be taken down before the vast majority of players had the oppurtunity to enjoy it..

Assumptions and basic logic failures eh?

Like assuming that everyone has precognitive abilities and can tell what missions will and will not have spoilers before actually playing them.

Or maybe you are talking about Trion's logic in releasing a mission with spoilers prior to the related episode's airing, instead of waiting a few hours and updating after the show, or even the next day.

Because both of those are pretty fail.

I really enjoyed the new mission and hope they give us a chance to go back to angel island again. The new grenades OK tho the hellbugs could do with being stronger or more then just 3 popping out.

I'm not saying that it was a world shattering revelation. Just pointing out that it was uncalled for and deliberately disruptive to out anything in a thread specifically about that very action, and trying to ruin peoples viewing time later today.

Though realistically I figure there should be an automated way to do it at a set time period....Or add them in Tuesday.
Maybe they have a regularly scheduled update time that the entire team is aware of for changes, and for whatever reason, someone wasn't fully aware that this content would be best served being pushed later in the week? I dunno. I think people assume a lot when they think that the teams involved in the show, and those that are involved in the game really give a toss what happens in either respective project. I'll bet dollars against cents that there are more people at Trions dev team that don't watch, and don't give a toss about the show and it's continuity. These things usually fall to a hand full of people, who usually have their hands full already with other pressing details.

basic logic isn't 'pre cognitive' its the stuff that tells you if I walk out in front of that car its going to hit me(though I guess you could make crazy assumptions like they'll just swerve around me, or they have brand new brakes and will be able to stop first, or I'm the martian manhunter and can just phase through it when it hits me). It shouldn't even be something you have to think about. its either, its going to refrence todays episode and was just released a lil early, Trion would ignore the basic premise of the game show crossover and not refrence the episode at all. Or it would somehow be placed before the episode and only be relevant for a few hours and then either removed, or left up so people could complain about how it should have been released after last weeks episode. Of all of those 'being released early is the simplest and makes the most sense, particularly given the concept of timezones.

but yes, this is why I petitioned my old highschool to make some sort of logical processing class a mandatory credit(they just added some degree of it into the curiculum of other classes, the programming classes rather highlighted the need)

Not really... Im sure it took her a couple weeks to go from St. Louis to San Fran...

Maybe. lol An exec or sever engineer head decided to do these updates on a Monday instead of a Tuesday, even though "synergy" wise, it would make more sense to do it on Tuesday.
Whatever reason, it is odd since most people will rush to do these quests before the show even airs.

I'm personally waiting, but I know most won't.

Or... maybe, just maybe, people thought that Trion knew what they were doing and would not release an episode mission with spoilers. Especially when you take into account the time delay that should be considered when characters travel halfway across the country.

Yes we knew Rynn was coming eventually, but we didn't know she would be appearing instantly in San Fran (hell, she apparently can time travel and appeared in San Fran before leaving Defiance). So logically I thought that these Episode missions would be a sort of prelude to her arrival, not just *poof* Rynn is here!

Your problem is that you think your thought process is the only right and "logical" one. Which is a flawed method of thinking, especially when your defending an action that itself is illogical.

The most logical thing would have been for Trion to wait and release the post-episode content after the damned episode. Which is why most people assumed it would be safe to play.

Now enough about frickin logic. I'm starting to feel like we should don some pointed ears and tell everyone to live long and prosper.
