Why put the new episode mission up before the show?

Or... maybe, just maybe, people thought that Trion knew what they were doing and would not release an episode mission with spoilers. Especially when you take into account the time delay that should be considered when characters travel halfway across the country.

Yes we knew Rynn was coming eventually, but we didn't know she would be appearing instantly in San Fran (hell, she apparently can time travel and appeared in San Fran before leaving Defiance). So logically I thought that these Episode missions would be a sort of prelude to her arrival, not just *poof* Rynn is here!

Your problem is that you think your thought process is the only right and "logical" one. Which is a flawed method of thinking, especially when your defending an action that itself is illogical.

The most logical thing would have been for Trion to wait and release the post-episode content after the damned episode. Which is why most people assumed it would be safe to play.

Now enough about frickin logic. I'm starting to feel like we should don some pointed ears and tell everyone to live long and prosper.

Personally I boil the issue down to trion overestimating its customer base, If they'd simply assumed us all to be inbred halfwits and placed a big obvious disclaimer before the episodes saying it contained spoilers and noting the episode name and number, we wouldn't have this problem, I'd feel mildly insulted in reading it, but its clearly necessary.

Legitimate complaint about a poorly timed content release is a fail? Mmkay. What does that make a complaint about the guy complaining?

Complaining about this stuff will hopefully get Trion to do it right the next time. So while you might enjoy things being done half-assed, even to the point of defending that half-assedness (is that a word? lol). Some of us would prefer it if Trion did things in a proper manner. Like releasing missions that tie-in with the show after the related show mission airs. Not only to prevent spoilers, but to keep up any semblance of continuity. People warping back and forth before events actually occur is just stupid.

Nah I gotta disagree with you. I can see both sides of this. Yes, it should be easy to figure out since we've known all along that Rynn was coming to the game, and since these missions feature Rynn, it should be a blatantly obvious warning that there will be spoilers coming.

HOWEVER...some people would assume that Trion wouldn't make a blunder like this and release spoilers. ALSO, the Pursuits are listed under the Episode 3 Pursuits, which makes people believe that it should have nothing to do with tonight's episode. So it's pretty reasonable that people would see the spoilers on accident.

It's funny, you keep acting is if you are smarter than everyone else but you haven't made a single solid point against anything I, or others, have posted. You just keep pulling the "I'm right because I say so" routine. You also continuously blame the consumers for not anticipating the worst, while not even once acknowledging the company's f*** up.

So you made your choice to participate in the missions before the episode based on the assumption that missions hyped as connecting game and show would fall drasticly short of that and provide minimal to little link? A tad pessamistic, but seems fair enough. I mean its not filled with crazy flaws like assuming it would be pre episode content that was only relevant for a few hours and then would either be out of place for a week or be taken down before the vast majority of players had the oppurtunity to enjoy it..

I made the choice based on prior knowledge. I didnt think we would find out HOW Rynn got to the bay or details at least. And i assumed that they wouldn't add the content in before the episode aired if it had spoilers of any kind (I know better now) I mean.. They did take down the first missions before the show premiered because it "made sense".

Yes, it is our fault that Trion can't release patches at the proper time. Even though they own the servers, have constant access to them, and can pull them down within 15 minutes at any time.

That said, if detailing the flaws in the logic is not a valid argument, but 'trion do bad' is, I fear I wont be able to provide one. On the same note, if noting early release as a minor error is failure to aknowledge trions mistake(though I still think the main error was overestimating the players) I fear I wont be able to by your definition.
