I get this every day, but you have to make sure that it doesn't bother you at all. We play this game for the same reason, for entertainment. If others are sending negative comments towards your play style then they are taking the game far too seriously.

Shadow wars don't count for anything.
Shadow War is played much more casually than pvp, since regardless of how well you do, it all depends on how well your team does. So thankfully no one takes it seriously.
