Episode 4 I believe it is Nolan who is a professional tracker needs help tracking Kenya down after the bio man kidnaps her.

I believe a professional tracker uses information to put pieces together in order to track someone down. He had his eye on the right people in order to get what he needed to know. I do think he should of figured out the last known location and then find the tire tracks and follow. However that could be argued that they didn't have time to go walking around Defiance asking everyone.
