Love the game, think its great (problems aside) BUT...they NEED to get on top of ****.

Patching the removal of keycodes, BEFORE fixing bugs? thats...well thats kinda low imo.

I am getting SICK of invisible crystals at arkfalls, or my ammo getting eatin away by invisible gnomes, or realoding a clip to have it at 0? did my guy drop the clip or what? The clan stuff is just broekn to hell, and is there ANY news on groups bigger than 4 people? even 6 or somthing??

They have their prioritites a little off I think....cuz some of that stuff is pretty game breaking....

The reason they patched the keycodes thing is people were getting 900 Keycodes an hour

Op, good thread...covers just about the entire thing for the moment. I would like to interject one little thing into the intellectual thicket we all weave....just an observation of sorts, but still rings true.

had an interesting big arkfall experience tonight...

after weeks of people raving about "make the game harder, i'm bored." Trion may have just did exactly that (or could have been a glitch, but was suprising none the less).

While participating in a big scrapper arkfall sequence, every "zone" on the map had a hellbug emergency, a bunch of raiders, and the scrappers themselves. It really upped the ante a bit, and i actually saw a lot of people go down because of it....when the progenitor spawned, there was still a bunch of raiders and hellbugs running around the zone pummeling everyone in sight.....no cross fire, no raider on hellbug lovin'.....just us, the progenitor sequence, and a whole lotta hurt....

might have been a glitch, might not have, might have been trion seeing how we'd react to something like that, or someone in a back office playin' the devil....who knows.

the point is....we can be dissatisfied, disgruntled, vocal, happy, overjoyed, or blissed...whatever gets ya through the day....in the end, if trion acts on our complaints and concerns, and it doesn't live up to our individual expectations, even after we (everyone who posts in this forum) rant,rave,roar,and ragequit....it falls on us. I'd rather have a feather, than a mountain any day.

I want this puppy to succeed and thrive, and grow into a fearsome beast indeed...right now, it's in trion's hands...but after the dents are hammered out, the paint re applied, and the engine fixed....it's up to us to ride that vehicle into oblivion.....how long that lasts......that's for them to decide. Long live defiance!

I want to applaud the OP for his handling of that enormous amount of text. Granted, I didn't read any of it, but the use of spacing and numbered lists really makes it so much more digestible for the people who do want to read it. This should be the model for every other forum user out there who is even thinking about posting so many words.

I think Defiance brings something new to the MMO gaming genre besides TV series tie-in.
Usually we are talking about weeks and months into the future when we are discussing MMOs. And Defiance also has weekly and monthly based fixes, patches, updates. But it also brings this new "next year" approach.

It's becoming more and more clear to me that Defiance is "supposed" to be played slightly different than other, typical MMO games. In my opinion it was not designed to be played every day, all day long like those other games are. It's more of an episodical type of playing like a TV series. I think that's the reason we are burned so fast. They meant it to be played occasionally, for few hours per week so we could keep in touch with TV series and experience DLCs like some sort of content upgrade that comes when you need it.
Add to that this "next year" and I understand it a bit better.
It's next year when game and show will begin with their true relationship. It's next year when Trion and Syfy will be able to truly connect the game with the show and give us what we are expecting from them now.

If that is true, I have to say I am surprised. They are counting on a patience from a large mass of people. And I think it's safe to say that those two things don't mix together well. Majority of us can wait patiently for weeks or months, but not full year. I sincerely hope I am wrong and they will add much, much more Defiance story material in next few months and not wait for next season.

Servers up for about an hour, then they're back down for an undisclosed amount of time?

I mean I wasn't expecting to really play today anyways, but man.... I'm seriously losing faith in the DEVs over there at TRION on the Defiance project.

They seem to break more then they fix?
