Massive Layoffs At Trion Today? Defiance Affected?

You have a point, true. It's the more troubling that those are the people which worked on Defiance. I'm not surprised after the horrid reviews everywhere, but I can't help but be sceptic about the timeline and content of future patches and DLCs now.

The good thing is the game has no subscription so we can wait and see if things improve. If it does I'll come back and resume playing. If not then there's allways another MMO.

What huge improvements are those?... I see very little change from the Alpha I was testing back in January. Aside from a few minutes worth of extra episode pursuits, and several things removed because they were broken.

Critics always write their scores in stone or what would be the point? Some of the critics held off reviewing Defiance for the first few days after release because it was so unstable, how much more do you want?

The people, as a whole, couldn't care less about the game. It sounds like you might be confusing the opinions of the few that post on these forums, and others, with the view of the majority of players who have never posted their opinions online; we have no idea what people as a whole think.

I'd rate Defiance more than 66/100 but not much more..

The day that Trion felt it was fair to take $60 from consumers is the day that it was fair to review their game on.

Too early? That's the way all games are reviewed and if it was reviewed now I HIGHLY doubt the score would be much different. And huge improvments? That's pretty laughable too.

If it was too early to be reviewed, then it was too early to be released as a product.
