I wonder how many of the people getting a "layoff" were contracted play testers?

Trion, please answer a few questions:

What percentage of QA personnel were laid off?
What percentage of Development personnel were laid off?
What percentage of leadership and management were laid off?

I believe these are fair questions as someone still on the fence about buying a season pass for what could be half assed or non-existent content.

I really dont think you could find anyone to rate the game above 6 , but the important thing is that they are tryiing to fix it so that is playable and so the gamers stay with it .

That's one of the things being hoped for.

Though there are some extremists here who do give it a 10/10 as is.

Obviously that's not really an option here, I don't really think Trion is in a position to do a FFXIV-style whole rework even if they wanted to, and I don't think they want to.

I dunno, honestly. I've never worked in game development, but in my experience you don't just bring in new people on a major software project that's mostly finished without expecting to to be a while before they're really up to speed and you can expect meaningful results.

if you ban people that speak their mind about the short coming of the game , there would only be like 6 fanboys left on the site. true most gamers are upset and let down by trion , but they are trying to save the game and keep a few gamers playing it . give the game 6 months and it will be ok

IMO. you as a player don't need to know anything about Trion's staffing. If the game is playable and fun for you, then play it. If it isn't fun, don't play it. They aren't going to provide you with the info you're asking for.

Did they even have a guy in that position to begin with, didn't seem like it to me.

That's just silly... Trion doesn't have play testers.
