That is what motivated me to start barbell training. I want to look like that!
Lift heavy, run fast, live forever.

"I swear by my pretty flower bonnet, I will end you."
"Anyone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill em right back."

    "I aim to misbehave."

Nice. Whatever works to motivate people is fine with me.
The clock goes round and round.
    Where it goes nobody knows.
Except those few who don't try and loose.
The clock keeps ticking as fortune glooms.
Fore those who are loose with what they choose.
The clock keeps ticking over those bafoons while the watchful eye always looms.

lol pulled muscle would be better than back issues or hernia issues.

Yes and No, I started off and on last year but then could not find the time due to school training. Then when I started back up I had overdone too many weights on the Barbell, thinking I could continue with a little more than I started, plus my son lifts and he was like yeah.

I had put a strain on my neck and, somehow pinched a nerve then weeks later small off road car wreck, got a terrific case of Whiplash and now taking Physical Training.

So i am waiting on the go ahead to return which will be quite a while I guess.

That's because gains are vast and quick when you begin. Once you hit your plateau which won't be that long you'll see those gains significantly less. That is when you have to keep up the motivation less you don't keep the cycle and start losing gains or stop altogether.

Also it isn't the lift that creates the gains it's the rest and nutrition, mostly pure protein to heal those ripped muscles.

I do only free weights and body weight. 100 push-up challenge for example is a great warm up before I hit the free weights. Pullups are the ultimate workout though, so great.

I work out nearly ever day. With an upper day with 2 hours of around 12 exercises of 3 sets of 6 - 10 reps. My lower/abs days I do about an hour and 30 minutes of cardio.

No thanks. Think I'll stay with Parcour/Freerunning and dancing DnB.

    Edit: Endurance > Power

Weight training isn't only for power lifting....very few people weight train for power lifting. If you truly are doing "parcour" then upper body weight training will help you significantly.

Sure you'll have to put your strength together, especially your triceps, but that doesn't come from lifting any weights, but rather from lifting your own body in various ways.

So you just do dips? weighted dips are better.
You do pull ups? Weighted pullups are better.

Literally everything you can do with your body weight is better if you're doing more than simply your body weight.

Don't hurt yourself though doing street running or whatever it is you kids call it. Ever heard of tough mudder?
