Would the DMG increasing mods help out the ground pounders at all since they are glitched to say 0X3? Would I be better of getting a quicker reload mod for them?

Your better off with a damage radius +0.60 full damage radius than +0.07 min/max damage. and instead of quicker reload have reserve magazines for more ammo per clip.
A big boomer with +1.00 full damage radius (+0.60 mod + 0.40 weapon perk) works wonders in pvp
