I personally think it's fine how it is.

none of the nades have a long timer (think 1s is the longest i have seen) so you would try and cook it and it would boom in your hands... I think it is unneeded unless they make more real world frag grenades (M67s have a 3-5 second fuse... I never liked to cook them anyways... grenades are scary...)

example when you ar say fighting the massive hellbug thingy when you try to get the grenade up the top of it just bounces off causing no damage

There's a purple frag grenade that has 0 det time. Essentially, as soon as you throw it, it blows **** to hell.
Since 'nades like that are already in the game, I believe being able to cook them would be superfluous.
