Real Rare Items?

I'm not talking about an orange shotgun that i could easily buy in white, I was wondering if there were any rare collectors items that few people would have.

From what I can gather there is not, just the same guns with a different colour and better stats when you level them up.

There aren't official any real rare items (unique appearance or unique perks). The closest would properly be purchase package weapons with their unique'ish appearance and certain story mode weapons which can be only obtained once.

Or Real rares could be referred to weapons with perfect perks like:

shot-gun with:

bonus perk: Melee x 0.20

Brutal synergy

Melee x 0.25
Melee x 0.20
Melee x 0.15

or

sniper with

bonus perk Critical x0.10

Assassin synergy

Critical x0.15
Critical x0.10
Critical x0.05

You get the idea

I am not sure if they are still in game but during Alpha/Beta i had a named SMG. I believe it was "Kamikaze" and had a unique proc on it. It may have had a unique skin as well.

Bummer, I love collecting rare items.

There are plenty of rare items. The [4] mod synergies are virtually non-existent at this point. There are a few full brutal sets completed that I know of but that's about it.

Want a rare *** weapon? Complete a [4] mod synergy set.

nah. All weapons are from the same category template. Nothing unique, nothing different. Just the text color and available mod slots.

There were real legendaries in Alpha at one point, but I have yet to see them again.

Some guy must have complained about it being unfair because he didn't have one. That would explain a lot in regards to how loot is so depressing in this game.
