    The Arch

Anyone else think they should put some snipers up there? It seems like the highest part of the town. Maybe Alec Tarr's job is to keep an eye out along with the radio show, but if I were in charge I'd put a lookout there 24/7.

    Yep I said that.

However they are totally killing the engineering/architect of the structure.

The wind alone would destroy his set up, lightening would kill him (the insulation is breached), and walking up and down it would not be the best idea everyday - he must have a pickle jar hidden there somewhere too... O.o

Don't get me wrong I am happy they are using our Arch - but I wish they would have put a tad bit more thought into it, this is "science" fiction after all not fantasy.

I am more interested how they are powering the arch. Note the lights are still on. Even with that giant breach.
Did you notice there is a gateway arch sign of to his right on one of those scenes. Kevin Murphy is supposed better than this. He won an Emmy for Desperate Housewives. He created hellcats (of which I have the entire series).
Also, the man knows Sci-fi. He did Caprica which was extremely good and fit their mythos perfectly. its makes me sad. I know he can do so much better so its got to be someone else screwing up his vision. (Still miss hellcats)

When the world goes to shtako, someone has to clean it up.

I have a feeling he came here to do research or the set designer did but they missed the lecture they give about it before you go up. There is in FULL detail everything you ever wanted to know about the structure below it in the museum, that alone would have 86'ed everything they did.

But the squee feeling in me goes back and forth to "they F'd it up" and "Awesome it's my arch!" This show is making me Bi-Polar!

Still we did get them to actually comment on it to the point they released a paper on it specifically.

Maybe the terraforming changed the weather.

LOL this is St Louis.... we don't need no terraforming for that.

Covington, I like your picture with the reference to St Louis and San Francisco being linked. Crossovers from the show link both.

I don't think lightning would be a problem. The outer skin of the Arch is stainless steel and acts as a lightning rod to shunt it into the ground.
