I guess this just mean that during weekends there are more people with time to spare at the same time trying to play.
Who would have guessed. I suppose that most people would try to log in when they have free time, which tends to be during the weekend for most.

In short......it quite probably is server load becoming too much.
The things they do client side cut back on the lag a user can get......but it doesn't do a thing about actual connectivity issues such as dropping. This could also cause issues because of bugs and glitches building up on the servers end for what it handles.

Well, my last two Sundays playing Defiance were unbearable. HOWEVER, I've had no issues at all gaming this Sunday. Even though I've been playing all day, my experience has been free of disconnects, bugs, glitches, rollbackz and boredom.....
