So you saw the post from Sledge and you're still unsure as to what's going on?

He already stated that all the content is going to be released, the game is going to continue to be supported and that there will be season 2 content. He doesn't need to post it 500 more times to make it anymore true.

    Stop worrying so much.

They don't need to tell the world about every internal change. It's most likely just an unethical news article which is probably making a mountain out of a molehill and inducing mass hysteria in a minority of the playerbase that are forum goers.

I'm sure a lot of long hours were put in during this project and vacations held off until well after launch. A community manager can't predict the state of the game months from now when requesting vacation time, making travel and lodging reservations, etc.

If anything, I suspect she's been looking forward to this trip for a while now, only to have it completely tarnished by receiving news of what happened at the same time as anyone else. Talk about a fun-killer. She's probably spending more than a little time thinking "finish much needed vacation or go back early and make sure my job is secure", and that's got to suck. Cut them some slack on this one.
Wow, I just wana totally disagree here, but I cant to a point. Yes hard work was put into the game for 5years, yes they are deserving of a vacation, yes they probably figured it would flop the way it did..but........

They knew they rushed the product early..

They knew it wasn't globaly received very well..

They knew the patches was causing more harm than good...

They knew no matter how many people loved this game, the players numbers was so much less than when released, and the release numbers was atrocious for releasing on 2 major systems and a PC...

I cant really comment on the tweet. I didn't see it, nor have a read how it was said...but giving them slack..ehhhh...well that depends on your stance on the game really.
Careful, you might loose this fight, Anne Frankly why does everybody have to bring up the Nazis?

That's the thing-- they have the right philosophy, but they implemented it so poorly players can't see it. So they ask for other genres to get copy/pasted over.

IGN fabricated a story, just to induce hysteria in the lowly forum goers?

You do know that the forums present a significantly small percentage of the actual players right?

But a community manager has virtually no impact on how many bugs or features make it into the game, they can only communicate problems between players and developers who apparently refuse to look at the forum.

I'm just saying, put yourself in these shoes: you're on a dream vacation in Hawaii you've been looking forward to forever, and suddenly you get a text along these lines: "Massive layoffs at our company. Hope you're having a good trip!". Kind of a vacation-killer. I'm sure if she could just magically reschedule her entire vacation trip to some other point in time, she would be gladly doing so.

Yes I do know that. I edited to reflect that while you were typing hehe.

And it has been said that things in that article were not properly fact checked or sourced.

I have no doubt about that.

Ive been called of vacation to go to Somalia so I know how that may suck.

Cut them some slack on this one. This was probably a once in a lifetime trip for her, and Trion's surprise timing on the layoffs came in and wrecked it.
It's never a good idea for somebody in upper management to not be there on the day part of their team is let go. It's just bad....

She's a community manager. Her "team" is intact. She doesn't even work at the same physical location as the development team, which has its own management structure.
