The kinect? Yeah, I totally want a weird little webcam that can hear and see me while I play video games and watch tv. Yeah, this technology isn't creepy and invasive at all. And I'm sure that it will never be abused. Its a camera and microphone that broadcasts what it hears and sees over the internet! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Will there be an optional xbox model that isn't also a super creepy surveilence device? The government might find out that I game in my boxer shorts!

Now excuse me while I go play with my smartphone. Which I can at least put in a drawer when I'm done.

1) Put mic in mouth. Gargle-talk while everyone tries to figure out what the heck you're saying.

2) Put mic in the kitchen. Return to living room. Communicate with team.

3) Put on latest awful hip-hop you heard. Something really bad. Turn volume up to max. Screaming kids for bonus points. Leave mic open.

4) Make sure everyone knows how much weed you smoke. It's important, right? Spend at least 80 percent of mic time talking about weed in -some- capacity. May use any combination of above styles.

Time for microsoft to stomp all the rumors about the console people were spreading. For one thing, the name "720"

Yes! I am so tired of the "720" thing. The name doesn't even make any logical sense. The 360 wasn't called 360 because it's double it's predecessor's name. The original was just "Xbox", not "Xbox 180". It was just an addition to the end of the name. If something were to do a 360 degree turn from it's previous direction, it would just be facing the same direction again.
I went through the phase of trying to tell people that it's not the 720 but it's hopeless, the fad just caught on too much.

It should be good for you guys. When it comes down to it i really do not talk trash about other platforms as to me it should be all about the gaming. 720 has been the name for a while but i was fairly certain the other day i heard that name may change.
720 makes it sound like an hd output so some may think it will not be capable of 1080?

It was never 720. Microsoft never announced any plan to call it that and nothing ever suggested it would be called that. It was just some person who thought the height of mathematical brilliance was their ability to sum 360+360.

... k, lots a people not liking the new xbox (I'd say 720 for convenience, but half the posts here would have a go at me for it!). No love so far. No-one likes the Kinect, no-one likes the name 720... anything nice?
