I mean seriously, how long did you figure you were going to continue with this post before some one called you out for what you are... a bully.
I recommend you do a little work on your reading comprehension, then re-read my posts here. One was about a cloth map, graph paper, and us being old. The next was the reply to your post. Where was I either trolling or complaining, much less being a bully?

You people have done nothing but talk down on modern gamers, or as you refer to them as squeakers. "Oh people are lazy" or "All they can do is whine and never figure anything out for themselves". This whole thread has been demeaning to anyone who doesnt enjoy sitting around for 10hrs a day figuring out nonsense mechanics that are only there to drive people crazy in the first place.

I mean seriously, how long did you figure you were going to continue with this post before some one called you out for what you are... a bully. You figure something out on a game then lord it over people like a 10yr old chanting "Nayh nayh I know something you dont know!" Then you have the audacity to complain about it when people just circumvent you and go figure it out for themselves by using information instead of just smashing through it like a barbarian. Get your head out of the clouds.
uh nope, no bully here, you just dont like whats being said and that sir makes you a cry baby, have a nice day...oh and dont forget the cookies and milk left outside your basement door dude, some of us felt sorry for you and thought you could use something to cheer you up lmao cheerio!!!

Here's a nice watch for everyone old enough to remember: If Quake was done today

It basically sums up everything that's wrong with today's gaming.
i was just looking for this video and wanted to add it to a post.

The Quake video was sublime. We're old.

Do I really have to go back and quote every post that refers to anyone who goes to the internet for information to figure out a game lazy? There are 9 pages, go back and read them for yourself. And yes, while I will correct my statement that YOU personally have not said such things, many other people here have. I simply used you for the opening quote because you said there was no complaining or flaming, when that is what this entire thread has been.

I work hard and figure things out daily (often times hourly) in running my company.

I play games afterward to relax and have fun, not work even more. If that offends you guys, I'm honestly not sorry.

Then, as technology got better, more people used the internet; and then games started getting easier. That means they can't pad their games length with pure difficulty anymore. This forces them to focus on making more content, which leads to better, longer stories and more fleshed out characters. For me, that's a good thing. I'd rather play a somewhat easy game with great characters and a great story, then a hard game with no characters and no story.
Whoever said you can't have both.
It's unfortunate but as time flew by instead of keeping both (which would have been quite easy), the developers chose to focus on making "easier games" in an effort to diverse the customer yield.

But there are still many games that did keep both.

This wasn't bad on it's own......but it led to many choosing to even try solving things on their own.

That's fine as well. You take the route you find in a way to actually enjoy the game in their way. That's not the same as people just not trying at all. If anything that's something I can truly respect.
