Yes, because the entire player base lives in Europe? Oh, wait...

what a joke this company is, its 5pm uk and you take it down for a 1.50hr downtime,

Trion this might come to a surprise to you but you do still have players in eu not just usa,

Any time they pick someone will complain. People say to patch during 2-5am NA times well guess what. My boyfriend and his friends are more active during this time. Like I said anytime they do it people will complain.

Yeah, Trion doesn't seem to be blessed with great forward-thinking. Almost all of the other EU patches were applied at 6PM PT, I wonder why they felt the need to do this one during peak hours for EU.

Ugh, I'm so tired of this debate. It has to do with the location of where the servers are being housed. If you play on the EU servers, you would expect Trion to avoid maintenance during peak EU hours. Sure, there are players from other time zones but it is not like the majority of the EU population is from the US or something.

Sometimes I worry that Americans are the whiniest most self-entitled people in the world, but then I see a thread like this and I don't feel so bad.

I'm upset here too, I only had 5 days' notice of this patch hitting. I mean if they gave us no notice whatsover then I'd be able to froth at the mouth and have a real go at Trion, but I can't, which is incredibly annoying.

Although you are never going to please everyone there are better times to do a release. Even doing it now still impacts the early morning US players as well as the main player base in the EU.

A better time would be around 11:00BST. This still impacts the EU, but not nearly as many players and also should leave the US market pretty much unaffected. logic would say doing it now would be at the start of there peak time for the average day (i don't know, haven't checked). With it being a decent time in the morning for the US that arent at work or school and prime time for the EU.... So makes no sense to me!
