Bohoo, 1.5 hours of people's lives ruined!

I'm just glad they patch the game. Also, I'm at work.

Besides, the time and date of the patch has been known for days (unless you are completely blind). NOW you complain?

Let me drop you a hint:

A game with a twin/sister USA SyFy series debuting in the USA, and people complain when the game doesn't patch on their schedule while living in the UK, Australia, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden [judging from your avatar] (of course, and other places abroad)? As much as you guys hate "yanks" I would have thought Trion would have nothing to worry about.
Ah Mike, Mike, Mike .... calling people morons is never going to help your cause especially when you so fundamentally misunderstand the issue. Regardless of the fact that there's a "USA SyFy" series debuting in the USA you seem to miss the point that it also debuted in the EU. In fact deliberately timed to be pretty much simultaneous. Why? Well because the game, and the series are a worldwide production so that pretty much refutes your jingoistic rant from the outset.

Let's look at reason number 2 shall we? From my experience a company that has both a US and EU zone would normally optimise their outages to correspond with those zones. So regardless of whether you believe that your innate US based superiority (read Napoleon complex) means that those in the EU should put up and shut up, the very nature of separating EU and US almost dictates that courtesy.

In point of fact Trion does just that with the patching of their other AAA title Rift, the US has their patch time early morning US and the EU has their patch time in their mornings. A courtesy followed by many companies with regional variations ... except this game. So you can understand why some people may find this a little off when the EU is treated as a second class citizen despite being given a region of their own.

And for the record, I do think it's a little over the top to complain about 1.5 hours especially when it has been advertised and it really doesn't bother me.

Might I remind you of this "fetal crying" in your "outrage" from the "northern" states once 90% of southern states had whitehouse.gov petitions with 10K+ signatures on EACH of them?

Lets look at some of the outrage:
    1. Petitions to charge all southerners with treason and execute them (oh how "tolerant" of you)
    2. Recommendations to disclose the full name and addresses of all petitioners and have them charged with treason (again, how "tolerant")
    3. Revocation of the bill of rights to all petitioners
    4. MSNBC: Chris Matterson: "We should just exterminate them".

Now, I wonder why this is... Oh, I know! Could it be that Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama makes up 82% of this nation's economy, has NO deficits, has "rainy day" accounts, and supplies the interest payments for 100% of it's debt? I thought so. Please, persuade your politicians to eject us from the Union -- it would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you have a rather large chip on your shoulder. I wish you well with that

Yes, and ALL of thos places mentioned are 500 miles from San Diego.

The severs i do believe are near San Diego, only like a hour or so from where I live (I wonder if they do tours of the studio?), where they made the game. These people work and have lives, so they are going to launch the patch when they get into work or maybe an hour or so after they get in and settled in for the day. This would allow them to, if it happens, fix any problems that pop up with the patch if there are any.

If they waited till they are about to leave for work, well if there are problems who is there to fix it since everyone went home, so the problems will go unchecked for a way longer period of time. If they did it after everyone went home to match up with good times for other people, well then no one would be there to push the launch patch button, and then same problems will occur with no one being there to fix any problems.

Its common sense to do it this way, they are not doing it to be evil to anyone over there in Europe. If anyone from Europe made a game like this with patches, they would patch at times that it would be best for them. Most likely in the morning shortly after they got to work.

Funny that San Diego is not mentioned once in that description. I never stated that Silicon Valley did not extend beyond San Jose, only that it is considered the center of it. For the record, you have not shown any evidence to show that Silicon Valley includes San Diego, as you claimed. At least your copy&paste spelled it correctly.

I'm failing to understand what citing that paragraph has anything to do with San Diego, which borders Mexico roughly 8 hours south of San Fran and the other places mentioned in the paragraph.

No, they did not, you are DEMANDING that Trion, with staff in California working on PST time, cater to your whelms, holidays, and time zone by staffing developers and QA during patches when you are most likely to be online or you're making the outrageous suggestion that they should have MULTIPLE patches MULTIPLE TIMES per day 24/7 spending HUNDREDS times more on maintenance on a non-subscription game to make sure no one gets their panties in a wad.

That sounds reasonably fair to you? If so I'd love to hear your idea of extremely fair.

Wow, that time you couldn't even read/quote the first two lines. What selective-reading d0uchebaggery is this?

Wow such whining. I swear, you people ***** when they don't patch the game, and then when they do you ***** even more jesus. Go outside or do something else for crying out loud.

When you make a purchase order -- that is a debt until paid, when you sign a contract to pay someone on termination of the labor, that is a debt until paid. DEBT is not DEFICIT. It is known that states with higher populations will have more debt (outlays), but have more income from tax (receipts). It is states like Louisiana (yes the worst southern state, also the most populated by Left-Wing Democrats), New York, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and most other Northern States that have more OUTLAYS than RECEIPTS meaning they have a DEFICIT problem.
Seriously man, you should take this to a YouTube comments section. I'm sure the people there will be absolutely fascinated with what you have to say.
