No one is demanding anything. Asking for consideration is not the same as demanding.
Also, I love the way you talk about MULTIPLE patch times, when only TWO are being proposed. I love the way your arguments are based on making huge over exaggerations.
Please keep ignoring the fact that that have patched at different times in the past...
Ok, here you go:
Now again: "I'm failing to understand what citing that paragraph has anything to do with San Diego, which borders Mexico roughly 8 hours south of San Fran and the other places mentioned in the paragraph."
Can you please respond more directly, and repeat yourself if necessary? Silicon Valley is a regional term which has grown over the years but is still pretty much within what people would consider the "San Fran area". San Diego is 8 hours away from San Fran, is not considered to be Silicon Valley by anyone, regardless of what companies have HQs there. If the biggest company in Silicon Valley moves to Alaska, Alaska does not become Silicon Valley.
Have a great day, I'm gonna go do things.

So what? Silicon Valley is a geographic region; it does not move just because Sony is not headquartered there. Please read the wiki page which you were so quick to quote. It covers the entire history of the region, how the term can into being, and what it encompasses (which does not include San Diego).
Also, please feel free to quote my errors as I regularly edit my posts when I catch them. It would expedite the process for me. Thanks for any help you can provide.

The best way to solve this is Google: Front and center a map of silicone valley less than an HOUR from San Diego. Being it is still West of the Sierra Nevada's, I would definitely say this is part of the silicon valley as it still fits the geography and geology -- not to mention its technological headquarters including the West Coast's one of THREE public peers.
