Blue Sawed-off Shotgun: 15% speed boost on full reload for 5 seconds
Purple Sawed-off Shotgun: 30% speed boost on full reload for 5 seconds
Orange Sawed-off Shotgun: 45% speed boost on full reload for 5 seconds

    Hope this helps
This is another good point. The Orange weapons seem to have bonus mods at the Level 2 or 3 level... while Blue or Purple weapons have bonus mods at the level 1 or 2 level.

Exactly, so basically more bonuses, along with a chance of a really good exp bonus.

Ok, so now my Legendary Weapon wonders have been somewhat resolved, one question still remains. Regardless of weapon rarity, once a guns XP cap has been reached it must be replaced to continue weapon proficiency progression. So if I had a purple SMG I really liked, with mods and the whole sha-bang, as soon as the XP bar is filled (which is very quickly I might add), I need a new one. This argues a whole new matter; is there any point in me getting that Purple SMG in the first place, or is there any point in me opening lock boxes because I can just buy a hundred white SMGs for cheaper and they can do the same job.

Sorry for the wall of text, just trying to understand this games 'revolutionary' system...

Legendary and Purple weapons have the potential to be better than all the other rarities. It doesn't mean you can find a Legendary and it be God Tier amazing right off the bat.

I just used whites and greens to grind my two favorite weapons to 20. Now I'm just trying to find that perfect weapon.

With the whole 'Weapon XP' system, I can use my favoured Assault Rifle and level it up to gain a bonus stat for it; GREAT! My favourite gun is now even more powerful! However, to continue earning XP for Assault Rifles in general I must now use a different one because the gun's XP cap has been hit... great.

So my question is this: What is my incentive for obtaining an Orange/Purple weapon, and taking time to get mods of the same synergy for it? I can get a Green weapon that does that same amount of damage and possibly even have elemental effects, I can even add mod slots to it, and once its XP cap is hit I can salvage it and move on, no problem. Why spend time, scrip and salvage on Orange/Purple weapons when they will be gone in a day of use?

    Thank you for reading
The point of them is so that people can show off how much money they spent on lockboxes ERRRRR...I mean....uh...."got them" out of in-game bought lockboxes. Yeah....that's the ticket. Some Legendaries have better overall bonuses and synergy than other weapons, but really it's just a crapshoot. The liklihood of you getting a better or equal weapon that's purple or blue is probably higher.

You can always sell to other players some legendaries, despite if they are filled on exp bar or no.
i've sold some of my legendary gear already. And i still have like 4-5 of these and i use them time to time.
I'm using SMG and shotty (smg is legendary, shotty is purple) for PvP (with blur).

I am guessing this whole thread will be made redundant if Trion add the weapon reset feature to the Salvage Matrix? That way if I have a weapon I love, regardless of rarity, I can keep it forever. It will also encourage more lockboxes to be opened too, because that way people will be happier about finding a high quality weapon.

Weapons with maxed out XP aren't completely useless. You want to keep the best legendary/epic guns you have for when you hit level 20 and have all the bonuses, you can go back to using your best guns that are now improved from all the leveling bonuses.

I heard their is a patch coming soon that will also allow you to reset the XP bar on the gun in case you want to work on it again and gain a new XP bonus. I am assuming this will probably cost a lot of Ark Salvage.

This patch would make Trion very popular I think. Although it was a stupid system in the first place, encouraging people to modify a gun and 'make it their own', only to tell them they can no longer use it if they wish to progress.

Yea, I pulled that number out of my ***, but I bet it's pretty damn close. All my best loadout with one single exception, is Purple. My oranges are just trade items.
