Von Bach is under the influence of something. And this happens before Jackleg (if i remember well). But under the influence of what? The one that controls Scrappers too? Or something that deals with the core? One of the votan races, the 8th?

this was a cutscene in the beginning of the game, based on my clanmates - it's no longer the case, so perhaps they changed the story (but yes, I saw it as well )

Remember The effect on him when we gave the arkcore to him after we got it from Jackleg? His eyes glowed.

Is there any video on the internet of him washing up on the beach and opening his eyes? What platform are you on?

The scene on the "beach" is at the end of the main story. We see the "dead" core lightning on Ara' desk and then we see Von bach on the beach open his eyes.

You saw at the end him getting out of the water, so his Body is alive, but is his mind? He has an Ego like you (but a non combat one) and the Ark Core did have an AI in it..... Now is the AI still in the core? Or did it transfer all or part of itself into Von Bach, overwriting his Ego. Can an Ego take over your body\mind?

I don't believe that it has been confirmed anywhere that he has an EGO. It is my pet theory that he has a non-combat EGO or some other type of implant to assist with his sicence & engineering, but it has never been said so in game or any other canon source as far as I am aware of... (If it has been, I'd love to see the source!)

    Clone maybe?

I've been toying around with an idea for awhile now that VonBach might not be the real VonBach. I beleive he is a clone and like someone else said has an ego implant or something similar like a remote control device for the real VonBach. I believe this has allowed the AI that was in the Ark core to subvert his control and potentialy actually posses him.

For those that might laugh at the remote controlled clone idea, do you really think someone as brilliant and that controls one of the world's biggest corporations would risk his own self when he could find some other way of doing it. Remember Von Bach is not one for real action he likes to let others do the manual labor...

    Just a theory...
To me it's like life why rush to the end, think there's somekind of cool raid waiting for us when we reach level (age) 65+ ?

Enjoy life don't rush it experience it, same with the game.
